In this guide I will offer advice on the Goblin team: how to start off with them, how to play them, and how to develop the team to its full potential. I go over the skill options for all positionals (looney, fanatic, bombardier, pogoer, troll, goblin), and discuss how to best make use of your great options in terms of inducements.
Goblins are in Blood Bowl 2 legendary edition, launched September 5th 2017.

The secret to the bombardier is Hail Mary Pass. Also one turn Throw touchdowns aren't as rare as you'd think with a few skills.

HMP is great, especially because it doesn't require any further skill after, and keeps him out of contact and away from the rest of your team. Especially nice on defense imo.

Great minds think alike. Called my tabletop game goblins Marvin's Martians. Got the red, green and yellow paint scheme. And named them after characters and voice actors for Marvin the Martian.

Thanks for the feedback! Put a lot of work into making it high production value and to the point. =D I'm not saying it's definitely not happening, but I'm not promising anything. There will be more guides for sure, but I think I'll prioritize some of the races I prefer to play the most.

Well i hope to see an ogre guide from you sometime . The goblins video was one of the best guides i have seen . Generaly speaking not just BB :) . You are analitical ,you show on action what you are talking (not just a skill screen and then blah blah it just does that )and in the end you add a personal opinion , nice calm steady voice . In a 14 team round robin, BB2, new teams league, is it worth it to work in the Nuffle Altar into the starting build? It is workable but it seems like when you are a visitor you lose out on the value.

With any stadium, you lose out half the time. However, even without the stadium, getting an accurate bomber for 60K, a Mb +MA fanatic for 80K or a blodge saw for 130K are nice, not to mention the bribes at 50K a pop. What I mean is, even if there were no such thing as stadium enhancements, you'd *still* want to be lower in TV than the opponent. Getting to start with the stadium as you do so is just the icing on the cake.

Thank you. Quick questions-- When you throw a teammate with a troll, it's never going to be an "accurate pass", does that even matter, as long as they don't fumble? When are the best times to use Throw-Teammate?

It matters in the sense that you won't be able to have a lot of control over where the goblin will land. Even if you roll a 6 on the pass, it will still scatter 3 times. The most obvious time to use throw-teammate is when you need to score in a single turn. Hand off to a goblin on, or one square behind the LoS, throw him with the troll, and walk in the TD. Requires a lot of dice (and a kick that isn't too mean), but helpful. Other times are when the ball is exposed in the backfield, or even to throw a goblin onto a full cage (he can land on someone and knock him prone).

Yes, anyone who has hands, is standing, and has tackle zones (not boneheaded/gazed/etc) can catch. even if they're holding a ball or a chainsaw. =D

Would you mind explaining for a Blood Bowl rookie why firing leveled up characters is a good idea, and keeping the team value down is good? My guess for the latter would be it would mean more bribes to you or even star players, or no? Also, does these rules apply to all other teams aswell? Seems so weird to fire people once you finally managed to level them up xD

It has to do with Team Value, yes. Team value can do one of three things: Get you matched up vs higher TV opponents (who, with real GA / GS skill access, are better than your A access gobbos), it gives your opponent inducements, or it costs you inducements. What this boils down to, is that any player needs to be "worth his team value", and a goblin with 2 normal skills isn't that.

Loner only affects team re-rolls, not bribes, appos*, or skill rerolls. * IIRC, Star players refuse to use your appo completely, but other loaners still can benefit from them and don't have the 50% failure chance.

I'd recommend dark elves for sure. They'll teach you to play disconnected, block when you can, dodge when you must, and not rely on passing plays unless you have to. I don't think Fanatics are worth it. They almost always miss the opponents players, they're easy to avoid and if you manage to knock one down, which isn't THAT hard, they're automatically out. You save 30k by skipping it which is almost a bribe. I've never had one do all that much and I played in the Stunty Leeg on FUMBBL with a lot of them. Most of the time they do what I call the Fanatic Dance were they do a complete circle around the one guy that you want to knock over.

No, there's an "official expansion" DLC which gives you all 8 new races + the other new features for a cheaper price for existing BB2 owners (won't give you any pre-LE DLC you don't already have though).

BB it self can never be really competitive as rng is always involved. Teams are unbalanced by design. If you are looking for competitive/esport game look elsewhere. BB is about nuffle! Most team are however fairly competitive at certain TV, but that TV differs from team to team. Goblins, Ogers & flings are never competitive though, they are there to have fun.

I don't mind that some teams are designed to be more challenging than others. Having said that, I wouldn't mind seeing gobbo trolls lose loner, or to allow them to use a bribe to win the cointoss. I think quite a few teams can be competitive at some TVs. Pretty much anything except the 3 stunty races.

Yea for Gobbos Trolls without loner would be really good change. I would even go further end give the special gobbos access to normals on standard lvl-up (Pogoer + weapons).

G access for the pogo and/or P access for the bomber would be great, too. However, they'd go against the stunty format (A & S only), whereas removing trolls' loner actually makes the gobbos match the other 2 stunty races.

id rather use sneaky git rather than dirty player coz you cant get sent off for fouling

Sneaky git is an awful, awful skill. It only works on armor, but only when you FAIL to break armor. That means it only works on bad fouls, the more assists you bring in, the less value sneaky git has. Do stadium upgrades stack to both players (like say both players took the free wizard upgrade do both players get 2) if yes nuffle stadium will make some funny senario

Nope, you only play in one stadium, so you only (both) benefit from your stadium in half your games, and from the other guy's stadium in the other half.

Dont know if he would but I would because its a gobos and its a specialty kill team GRANTED dirty play is proubally twice as good because a gobo can kick someone on the ground much easier then getting 1 dice or 2 dice block on them but still its gobos enjoy them how you like

It really depends on what you already have if it on an str gobo sure why not but yeah if you missin dp missing some blodge itd be better to use you double on that first but for you extra double you roll on some players mb can be useful just to threaten the other teams squishy players some without having to fully rely on the trolls

They're very fragile and prone to failure, but can also have amazing steamroll victories. Perhaps the most random race in the game.
