THANK YOU! Finally someone posts a video about normal mode. So tired of 45 minute long vids about vet hardmode that don't help new players like me.

Thanks for leaving that comment by the way, it's good to know the video helped someone. Also, I've been thinking of making this into more of a series, but it's hard to decide which dungeon to do next. If there's another dungeon you'd like help with, feel free to request it - just keep in mind I tend to take a long long time before finishing a video.

@@IcehairsStuff Please make a vid on Scalecaller Peak. Pain in the butt even on normal mode. Soooo much poison. I really appreciate you making "normal mode" videos. There is far more demand for normal mode vids than vet hard-mode vids since there are so few players that can play vet mode, let alone vet hard mode. If you don't have a tight team that talks to each other then vet hard mode is basically impossible. But EVERYONE gets plopped into every dungeon on normal mode as a basic element of gameplay. So why is nobody making a library of normal mode vids. I strongly encourage you to keep going with these normal mode vids because you'll attract the largest audience. Could you also please let us know what plug-in you're using to display those combat cues? Cheers

BTW, on that second-to-last boss (the one on the center island), on normal mode, you can alternatively keep one of those channeling ghosts alive and that method prevents the big boss from pulling the green goo back to his island, so now you can just stay on the center island and keep whacking the big boss. Makes it so much easier than having to grapple back to the outer ledges a second time. Just a little trick I picked up from another player on one round.

@@doctari1061 A Scalecaller vid? Now, I remember struggling with that one to begin with, even on normal... I can't guarantee I'll find the time for it, but you've certainly given me an interesting idea!

@@doctari1061 Yeah, that's a great tactic especially for teams that find the grappling in and out confusing!

Thank you for doing what nobody does: a simple, direct and well explained video that doesn't take more than 30 fecking minutes to watch

First time I went to this dungeon, the whole group had never been in it and had no idea of mechanics. By the time we got to the Eternal Aegis boss, there were only two of us left. The tank and myself, a Templar. We died a few times but in the end we figured out the mechanics and made it through. Good to find people who are stubborn and will persevere . Great sense of accomplishment to tuff it out.

Thank you for the quick guide on normal mode. Was nice not having to sift through a 45 min video to figure out 2 mechanics for once.

God i wish more dungeons videos were like this. Quick to the point, the S you need to know. So many 30-60 min videos bloating the difficulty to make themselves look smart. Intro could be a bit trimmed down though ;)
@IcehairsStuff3 жыл бұрын
to be fair, on vet it is harder and you need to know a bit more...but yeah,often too much info.Especially for normal mode.
@voidlust66023 жыл бұрын
@@IcehairsStuff True enough, but there is always still too much bloat there. If you are running vet, you shouldn't need it explained that you need to do things like face hard hitting mobs away from the group, interrupt archers / caster or "don't stand in the stupid". Let alone pad out your video repeating it over and over between each boss fight. Personally I only watch these types of videos to learn / understand essential unique mechanics to the dungeon or boss fights. Keep up the good work, and thank you for respecting peoples time :)

@@IcehairsStuff Especially if you try to find and complete the first three mini bosses, which are extremely hard to locate and even harder to beat. It’s a brilliant dungeon really, but definitely not for the faint of heart.

Solid guide, earned a sub from me. I like the succinct style, information rich without extra meandering.

FYI, don't jump to another scene in the dungeon when discussing a boss even if it is an example of the mechanic as it is rather confusing.

Thanks for this guide! I ran it once before and despised the grappling hook gimmick, but now need aegis caller set so i'll be living there for the next few days lol Also, what is the name of the addon you use that tells you when to hide etc?
@IcehairsStuff3 жыл бұрын
Hodor's Reflexes I think, though I run both that and Raid Notifier since before the dungeon dropped, so I'm not sure anymore which of them does this particular trick.

On closer thought, it might also be Code's Combat Alerts... I have lots of these addons---

Hey! This is going to sound really weird, but do you happen to have contact with a user known (or previously known idk) as Samyoline? Long story short he might have one of the oldest playable minecraft world seeds and I want to ask (even though the answer is almost 100% no) if he happens to still have it. thanks for the help!

He's a fantastic guy, but sadly I haven't had any contact with him since he pretty much disappeared from the KZbin scene years ago.

You seem to have got a lot of enjoyment out of ESO. I guess it got better?
@IcehairsStuff4 жыл бұрын
I'm certainly enjoying it at the moment. Not sure if that's because it got better or because I got more used to it (and have invested so much time and money in it already...) 4-man dungeons were always one of my favourite things about the game though. And there's always tons of other different stuff to do so I can keep it varied. The antiquities system this year made it worth it to go back and finish world bosses and stuff that I hadn't gotten round to before, run some of the dungeons over again, and next patch they're going to make inventory less of an issue while also giving us a reason to run a lot of the content over again, because as I understand it, all the sets we find will effectively become craftable... I'm not done with this game yet, I feel.

Inb4;-) Since some people apparently found this video useful, I decided to do another one of these quick dungeon guides. At the same time I felt another word should be said about your question here... thing is, ESO is getting better, contentwise. But stability-wise, not so much. 2020 was a horrible year with old bugs still not being fixed and new ones taking a while to be fixed. However... It now seems more stable than it did a month or two ago, to me at least... so I'm hoping for a better 2021, and that someone finds these kinds of videos useful, even if my trustiest old subs aren't playing ESO =)
