Not bad...a few inaccuracies. 1) Epee is NOT the longest weapon. Both epee and foil have a max blade length (from the front face of the tip to the front face of the guard) of 90cm. For sabre it's 88cm. Epee IS the heaviest, but it's only by about 500 grams. 2) Sabre target does not include the hands (specifically, target in the arms starts from the wrist bones). 3) Foil target includes the lower half of the mask bib.

The sabre's weapon arm counts as a target starting from the fingers
@samsignorelli4 жыл бұрын
@@nazmiazhari9538 Uhhh...no. It was never from the fingers, and the back of the weapon hand was removed as target years ago. Rule M.33 section 1 reads in part: "The conductive material, which can be removable or fixed, must cover all of the gauntlet of the glove down to below the external cubital styloid (small prominent bone of the wrist), both when the fencer is in the on-guard position and when the sword arm is straight." This applies to both arms. Freeze the vid at 0:32 and look at Montano (the fencer on the right)...you'll see that the lame' -- the conductive material on the cuff of his glove and his scoring jacket (ALSO called a lame') -- does NOT extend past his wrist. A hit to his hand would not even register on the box (it'd hurt, tho....have taken that shot myself). I've been a sabre fencer, an equipment vendor, and an armorer for almost three decades...I KNOW the proper target area for my weapon.

Fikri Nesimi cool, but irrelevant. Fencing blades are not swords. They’re blades, it’s like calling a taco a quesadilla
