Idk what's going on with my phone but for some reason I'm unable to comment unless I hit a reply button so my apologies for intruding here but just like this commenter, I too have gotten results... Bro, I'm 31 and I'm filled with childlike glee rn... It is little but when I was in scouts as a child, as one of the few who never learned how to, I had a sour memory Abt it along with the teasing children do when you're the odd one out... It was small but it made me feel really happy knowing I could do this too and it was all about technique... Along with that, I felt like giving up at other things currently in my life but this small thing made me think I just need to change my approach, so thanks bro... For not just this but making me put other things into perspective even further 😌👌🏾

Whoa! I was shifting around with the hand/lip configuration from whooshes/squeaks then bam a clearly pitched tone sustained, I felt the reverberations inside my palms, what a strange and wonderful feeling! I think the most helpful tips and some of my notes are the spherical interior, with palms arched but not focally tense, lower lip under the knuckles, also keep upper and lower lip relaxed, thumb bones parallel like vocal cords and perpendicular to airflow. You can clasp your hands in other airtight spherical ways, I tried this at night so I looked through the thumbs and made sure no light shone through. once you set up the “instrument”, you can then tinker with the angle and strength of airflow, it needs to be pretty consistent, and stronger than I had imagined. Hope this helps!

I also taught that the control of the Wind and breathing is more important than a Reed, or a mouthpiece or a traditional instrument. I use Professional Diaphragmatic Breathing Techniques that let me open up and fill the bottom part of the lungs which is behind your stomach. I have mastered every aspect and can hold out notes or phrases for twenty seconds on one breath. Wishing you all the best!

This is the best video I’ve seen, I wasn’t bunching my fingers properly and my hole was too big, thanks for the help bro. I’m now working on it so I can eventually introduce the hand movements for that shaky sound.

Congrats! It takes some practice to get really comfortable with it, but you’ll be there in no time.

This is my 3rd video instruction and only now I was able to do something like a whistle. For me your explanation about the right angle made sense. Thank you.

Thanks for the video, I didn’t have any luck with this either tried for about 20 minutes or so, just a whole lot of air noises and purple fingers 🤷♂️ just looking at how you’re doing it you make it look effortless to make it airtight I have to literally squeeze my fingers and hands until everything is turning purple when I try to close my thumbs together I open the gap between my thumb and my pointer finger

@@josephgolczynski9218 im so sorry, did you see the version where you hold your hands like you are praying? I think that version is even easier. Im really sorry its not working for you
