Thank you! You're absolutely correct! One never always knows when the need for a very particular knot may come in handy! I sometimes have to reference my own videos so that I can remember how to tie certain random, obscure knots and friction hitches that I've made content for! Anyone who thinks I have all of these knots and hitches memorized is giving me and my memory way too much credit! haha Having said that, I would say that I can tie about 50% of all of the knots on my channel from memory and perhaps maybe 20% of all of the friction hitches (including all of my 85+ original hitch creations). That's still pretty impressive if you ask me! =-P

If you compare the Sheet bend to the structure of the Lapp knot (the Quick hitch is just a slipped version of the Lapp knot, which is also a bend), you'll see that they are almost structurally identical. The Quick hitch might as well be a slipped form of the Sheet bend and very few people would even recognize that it isn't. Plus, this is a super strong and slipped knot, making it secure and fast to untie. But I can already see you scoffing at my justification for the Quick hitch from here haha Anyways, thanks for commenting! Always good to see you! It's been awhile! Stick around! This is a Lapp bend, which is a variant of the sheet bend

It's actually a SLIPPED Lapp bend. I mention this in my video. =-P
