How do you mask certain areas of a mesh so you can paint on an adjacent area without touching the rest of the mesh? In other words, how do you use paint layer masks?

Do you still use mudbox or were you converted to zbrush? do you have anymore mudbox videos?

I do still use Mudbox, but generally more so when I'm teaching people to texture in 3D and I'm looking for efficiency. I prefer Zbrush for modeling. That being said, I've seen digital sculptors who still use Mudbox who are just incredible. So as with most things...whatever works best for you! It's still hard to beat mudbox when it comes to getting up and running in the shortest period of time. To your second questions, I don't have any immediate plans to make more, but if you have suggestions for what you'd like to see, feel free to throw them out :)

How did you remove the numbers at the end of the object names? 1:42

Nothing magic there. I just paused the video and retyped them one by one. Figured you guys didn't want to watch me do that. To rename, just double click on the name and type away. Sorry it wasn't anything fancier ;)

Thanks, I appreciate the props. I teach full time at DePaul University's animation program in Chicago, so not as much time for online at the moment. Maybe later though!
