You are a great teacher and the glass of wine tip was spot on!😂

Hi Franny - I'm glad you enjoyed the pattern! I don't have any videos on how to keep the back of your work tidy, but I can explain it here. The secret is to never carry a "float" very far. Work in columns or rows, and instead of traveling a strand of yarn on the back of the work (further than a single stitch or two), break the yarn and start a new piece. That will keep the back of the work from being a criss-cross of yarn strands.

I don't really use acrylic yarns, mainly because I prefer wool, and there are so many nice wool blends out there. If you're looking for something widely available (like at craft and fabric shops), I would recommend Lion Brand Wool Ease. Hope that helps!

Thank you for your reply Staci. I understand what you are saying. My family just love that pattern, so I reckon I will be knitting a few more. I really can't thank you enough.

I just did a 3 needle bindoff for a shoulder this morning. When I was done weaving in ends I turned it right side out and found that a stitch had dropped! I got it up the ladder and all but it was of course too late to bind it off, so I wove it in and made it work. Lesson learned: Always check work even if I think I'm done. Yikes.

In theory, any pattern can be modified to a different size. If you're a confident knitter, you're welcome to try it! I need to tell you, however, that I'm not prepared to support questions you have on any modifications. To accurately support modifications, I would need to rewrite the pattern and test knit it myself. But I wish you the best of luck, and I hope it goes well for you. :)

Thanks. :-) Yes indeed, gettin' better all the time - and calmer when these things do happen. My son was surprised when he heard me talking about the mistake. He said, "Wow, I didn't even hear you swear!" lol

Good for you on fixing the mistake, AND the lesson learned. We're always learning and getting better, aren't we? :)

Hello Staci. Thank you so much for the pattern of the little hoodie. I completed it, and everybody loves it. The heart looks beautiful on the front. BUT my problem is....the back of the heart. It is a total mess. I am wondering if there are instructions anywhere to show us how to leave the back of the heart tidy. I love your videos. Thank you so much.

@meghanvienna I suppose the main reason is because I recently released a book called "Baby Shower Countdown', that is full of baby knits. But we just shot a tutorial on a women's sweater, that will be released very soon.

Jenny - this sweater is pretty quick to make, big stitches and all. Translating it to circular knitting would really require a different pattern...I'm afraid there is no quick answer for that!

I've knitted sweaters and tops before but I'm confused on how to make a sweater using a circular needle. I've been wondering how to make the arm holes😪 and I'm getting close to where my arms need to be

@verypinkknits11 жыл бұрын
Haha, Abril. I'm laughing, because huge baby heads are my main concern when I design baby/toddler stuff! And the answer is YES. I can't give you a link here, but you can find the pattern on Ravelry, and see examples of the sweater fitting babies just fine. :)

hi lv your shows just wanting to know if u have a pattern for just a plain knitted sweater thanks.
@verypinkknits11 жыл бұрын
I don't think it would look funny in an adult size, but an entirely new pattern would need to be written for that. Proportions between babies and adults are totally different. If you're a newish knitter, it's best to stick with patterns that are already written for the size you want to make.

Hi Staci, as always your videos and projects are wonderful! I just bought the eBook. I hate working flat and am going to attempt to convert this to circular knitting, any tips? Should it translate well? My baby is due in 6 weeks :) I hope I can complete this! Thanks again!
