I didn’t even realize there were 3 sets until I saw Koris video swatching the kalour 520 set. This is way too many pencils in one set for me to consider buying but this is good to know.

Thank you, Crystal, for doing this. I really appreciate your giving us all sorts of good information so that we can make the choices that work best for each of us. I have the flower boxes set. I also have some of the other brand named sets that are Brutfuner. Of those, I love the Southsun, HuhuHero & Wanshui brands best. I have the Kalour 300, I didn't care for the 240 (maybe I got an off set,) and returned them long back before the 300 ever came out. I do like the Kalour pastels in the pink tin, and their metallics.

Oh that's interesting I didn't really like the Kalour 240 when I first got them either I thought it was just because I was new to coloring. I did like the 300 set better. Maybe they improved them? I really like the pastel set too. ❤️

I agree with you on maybe improving between the 240 & 300. I picked up one of the 72 sets that come in a box rather than a tin, thinking would be good to tuck in a bag for going to appointments & such, but they're terrible, even though numbers & names match from the other Kalour sets. Have you seen the Shuttle Art Pastel & Metallics 60 sets? They just popped up on Amazon recently. Not even any reviews yet. Being a curious pencil junkie is bad for my budget! 😁@@CrystalsColorStyle

I looked and found that skin set you mentioned. Didn't see flower set, but the pastel tin has large lotus flower on it, so maybe that's what you're thinking of? Skin set has same names & numbers as in my 180 set. Can see swatch card for pastels and some names & numbers match my 180, but not all. Can't see enough on metallics page to tell but am thinking at least part is in the 180. They look pretty but think I'm going to wait to see reviews and hopefully someone will put up a video. I do like my 180 set.@@CrystalsColorStyle

Well that made my mind up! I have the flower box set which I use frequently, with the Kalour 520 in my cart but I think I'll save the money and eventually purchase the full set of Faber Castell Albrecht Durer pencils, I have the 24 set and dang that full set syndrome is getting to me lol. Thanks so much for your valued opinion! 😊

Albrecht Dürer? Aren't those watercolor pencils? Why not get Prismacolor instead? Or Polychromos? Those are more comparable to the Brutfuners and Kalours.

After watching Shel's Coloring Journey on youtube I purchased a small set and I love them. They work just as well dry as wet and are very pigmented. I do have the Prismacolor (3 sets) and a small set of Poly's, just doesn't beat the AD's for me!@@Oozaru85

So much cheaper in the US😮 for the flower box set it's crazy . In Canada that same set is almost 300.00 before taxes . 330.00 after taxes

If you mean the separate metallics, skin tone, and macaron sets Brutfuner and Kalour have out those are a different series of pencils. So there might be some similar colors but not exactly the same.

Not that I'm aware of at the moment. There is a white labeled set of the flower boxes up on Amazon but since is the same thing I don't really count that one.
