not sure I follow the usecase here you mean create them in resolve and push them to obs tonoverlay them over a live video feed? I mean yes but there is no alpha output so no transparency so thats rather impractical

@@FinnJaeger1337 yes that is what I had in mind, no Alpha is an issue I was unaware of, I assume Premier has Alpha output because it's currently used this way but if not then it must be sent with chroma fill for all graphics/ lower 3rds.

Yes, you can. We sometimes do this using after effects for lower thirds and on-air graphics. NDI will also carry over your alpha channel as well.

could I use a clean HMDI from my camera into resolve live, then grade it there with all the bells and whistles and use this tool here to then put the graded live image into OBS?

@@FinnJaeger1337 thx for answering so quickly! I am having trouble with this too: Can Davinci resolve take the input of any capture card that gets my clean HDMI feed? I was thinking of getting some form of camlink device that only has one HDMI input, and originally planned on using that to send video to my OBS where I'd then have a premade LUT that grades the picture. It would be cooler to have the flexibility to grade live though! I don't have enough money for Blackmagics own capture devices sadly

you can just capture the screen with OBS. or any other video chat software usually enables screen sharing

is there an NDI plugin in resolve that will use an NDI as a source input to be displayed via resolve live? or does it only output to ndi?

only output, Assimilate Scratch has that feature though probably a better way to do livegrade

Will using NDI allow me to stop the Resolve video while in OBS. I want to be able to stop the Resolve video so I can add verbal comments without being rushed. Thanks for this video.
