no idea if PTO reads these comments or not. but 8/10 on the broadcast for me today. i really appreciated the commentary and the splits were good in the beginning. however, if possible can you keep the splits up for the top 10 throughout the race? it was usually top 7 sometimes top 10 on the bike, but for the mens race it would be really nice to have it on the run as well. and to sometimes show us how far back people are down who are top 20. thanks!

I hope that PTO reads these comments--- 1). nobody here in Las Colinas is happy about this mess. The three day disruption to traffic and normal life has pissed off the entire neighborhood. Take it elsewhere next time. 2). The commentator says "Dallas countryside", bro, this is neither Dallas nor the the countryside. These are densely populated, urban streets, it's just that the one particular street where the cyclists are biking is Las Colinas Blvd., a modestly scenic road (purposely designed to be that way, courtesy of Exxonmobil, who has corporate headquarters there) with grass (and cacti) and ponds on either side (or in the middle). This road is surrounded to the north, south, east, and west by steel, glass, and concrete for miles. 3). The water where the athletes are swimming (Lake Carolyn) is absolutely filthy; I'm talking Hudson River, NYC filthy. I can't believe top athletes are forced to swim in that concrete bowl of e. Coli soup. You couldn't pay me to dip my toe in that mess. I was walking my dogs along the lake the other day and saw a dead, bloated cat floating along a few feet from the edge. It made for quite the sight, floating shotgun alongside a giant trash island. Again, serious biohazard for the athletes.

Lucy getting the podium when she literally had a hip fracture this season is just insane, not to mention the technical problems on the bike. I'll never get tired of seeing her singlehandedly swim the field apart. That being said the run by Ashley was the highlight of the day. Absolutely insane!

Really proud of Taylor for not giving up...2nd place is huge considering how young she is in PTO. Happy for Ashley, she deserved that win. And whoa, Lucy is definitely back! 3rd place after an actual hip fracture and bike mechanical? Incredible! Look out for her at Kona. She has to be one of the favorites now.

I was there and it was so stagnant and brutally HOT !!! Gentle did amazing to come back in that Heat...WOW. she deserved it. LUCY had some uncontrollable bad luck..some of the risk when you go DI2..Poor thing but she NEVER quit...Great DAY to see such bad ass WOMEN race.....Thank you PTO for doing what you do for both the Men and Women...I hope you take all from the IM org...and you know why...Onward

I simply dont see the benefit of Di2 at all, if you can a traditional gear set up yoh should be absolutely fine as long as you keep your drive train in good condition

@@mathieunorry On a TT bike, having electronic shifting allows you to shift from both the aerobar extensions and the base bar, which is not possible with mechanical shifting

Was fortunate enough to be out there today. Once in a lifetime opportunity to see so many top tier women and many of the husbands or partners also. Myself and many of those around me spectating had the app going on their phones. Thought it was great production in person and on the app. Great job to all involved.

It's crazy because DFW had amazing great weather for two weeks straight, then Boom! The heat and humidity showed up full force. It was low to mid-60s mornings and 70s, 80s during the day the previous weeks. PTO, if you do decide to do it again in DFW, do it later in October or November.

It was in the high 80s/low 90s most days throughout September. It's only a couple degrees hotter than it was last week and about the same temperature as two weeks ago. It's still not hot by DFW standards. If you live here, you know this.

Good highlights I only saw a little bit of the run. As much as I understand the idea of splitting the mens and womens races. I cant use up both days of my weekend to watch Triathlon, can't imagine everyone else can either. Also, can we get the race start time, not the broadcast start time. One thing F1 does beautifully is if they say race at 9, other than some crazy act of God, at 9:00 they are setting off for formation lap, it helps schedule time to watch !

Super cool to get the highlights same day like this! Great racing. The only thing I find unfortunate within the sport is that the 20m rule on the bike still gives athletes an advantage. Especially if they are in a larger group and can keep trading places and legally draft on each other during that time. A group of 4 in the chase group getting off the bike all within 1 second of each other isn't how it should be imo

Sure, but how else do you do it? A group of 4 starting the bike together and they just have to wait to let the other person get ahead? What if you want to pass 4 properly spaced athletes? That’s a lot of effort. I don’t know what the right answer is, but I think it’s just going to be a fact of life for the sport. 🤷‍♂️

@@airforcekid265 yea it's a good question. When the whole road is blocked off maybe they could be on opposite sides, but extremely hard to enforce and you can't have different rules for pros and the rest of the field. I agree that there's probably no good solution

described as a "spectator friendly" course, so why were there so few spectators?? Why choose Dallas in September as a venue, spectators and athletes don't enjoy such high temperatures. Do how long do we give the PTO?? They must be bleeding cash at a prodigious rate, I cannot see much income coming from spectators, TV rights or from sponsors. The income side of the P&L will need to change dramatically some time soon....even billionaires don't fund things like this forever.
