Kristians physique is wiiiide. He’s built like a CrossFit athlete yet runs like kipchoge. Madness.

I guess he is a rare genetically exception. Alternatively he is juiced as f - but I really really hope that's not the case.

@@irondoc1251 winning WTS race is much harder then winning Kona. And Alistair did it 22 times. Alistair was so good that Kona was not on his priority list. Same as Gomez. They were both competitive in WTS circuit so there was no point to race long distance races from 2009-2016 when Alistair was at his peak years

this is a fantastic analysis - the norwegian boys are 8% better than the best 9 pro men who almost cross the line together - the triathlon world was not ready for guys 8% better, that can switch short and long course any time and break all the records and win gold and do red bull stunt records at a whim...... incredible! by the way Kristian was a great domestique in Kona ;)

What's your thoughts on focussing on long distance from a young age? Taking into consideration kelvin kiptum. Aren't athletes actually at their peak between 20-25 (also forong distance) instead of being 'better' at long distance at age 25-35 which is something now commonly beleived?

They're quick, but not unthinkable fast - thats the general question, what is actually possible, what would it take for. What if? - And what if not. Thats the still hidden way of VITS, the thinking behind, and the journey of construcing new methods and opportunities, for to be quicker as the yet quickest.
