I like this one. Real world fix and flip. Those are the money makers. Not the sports or enthusiast cars. Basic good looking well optioned family haulers like this sell fast and it's on to the next one.

Replacing panels usually means removing spot wells, glues etc and then rewelding. For most things I think I'd prefer the dent pulled and some minor body filler rather then upsetting the factory joints. Just my view. Excellent job on providing another vehicle for someone to use.

This would have been the perfect opportunity to explain why some vehicles are totaled but can still be repaired with little or no cost. Just time. Painting and prep would be the same either way. But replacing the quarter or the rear hatch alone would be more than your whole repair

Really love your videos and your work. However I do get nervous about the use of “filler” for the final finishing of bodywork repairs. Wouldn’t this start to crack and show the defect after a couple of years? What is your experience in this regard?

Crazy how it was totaled for such minor repairs. Surly, the repair cost wouldn't be more than what the car is worth understandable if it did where I'm from New Zealand we don't have copart man if we did cars you could get for cheap

Do you guys wet sand and buff your paint job or just sell it as is with the orange peel?
@MySledgeHammer10 ай бұрын
From the manufacturer there not wet sanded - buffed how ever they’re painted by robots. I am curious where you saw any orange peel because most all vehicles have some orange peel but it depends more on the color some colors lay on better then other or it shows up more then other colors. If this vehicle hadn’t been wreaked and did have a salvage title I could see putting more time in spraying a perfect pain job on them but it’s not going to get them more money how it turned out now than had it been a perfect paint job. Plus it depends on the type brand cost of the paint also. I am sure if someone wanted it bluffed - wet sanded polished they would do it for more money. Cheers
