Quick review: New Timex Q Three Time Zone Chronograph

As much as I love the concept of a GMT, if you’re mostly traveling domestically, this watch, and watches with a 12 hour rotating bezel make a lot of sense and are far easier to read. I do wish they had this in a better styled, non Chronograph version.

I bought it today at a local department store in México City. I love this watch even I don't travel too much anymore, but GMT functionality makes me remember time where a friend lives in Germany and Cancún for my brother. Thanks for the tutorial, I never found manual in Timex web page. Love the feel of the watch and the looks.

Quirky. Interesting. I wish the 24 hour sub-dial had a red hand though; to co-ordinate with the second hour hand. Would've been a more cohesive design and less confusing, _mate_ :D

Without the chronograph, this thing would make tons of sense. I actually prefer the way this tracks a second time-zone to the 12-and-24-hour mashup of old-timey GMTs. This and that Serica with the 12-hour AM/PM bezel give me hope that someone might actually make an analog GMT I'll actually use.

I love it. I actually prefer 24 hrs on the gmt hand but this is fine too.

I think the crutch 24-hour subdial shows me that the design of this watch’s movement was poorly thought out. This would have been more functional with just a GMT. And to add another time zone, a 24-hour scale could have been added to a chapter ring and the rotating bezel. The GMT hand could have 48 positions and the bezel 48 clicks to account for timezones like India.

I love the modern effort Timex is putting out, I purchased a Galli S1 and never looked back but I just saw this watch in person for the first time. This... Well... I wouldn't get one for 50$ to be polite.

After receiving mine, the issue I found is that the jumping hour hand only goes forward. And by doing so you roll over the date like at 1:50 in this vid. So any time you change time zones and back again, you basically have to reset the whole watch which is pretty inconvenient. Unless maybe I'm missing something here?

Cool looking watch with too many hands on the dial! Thanks for explaining how it works, I had no idea tbh. Is it a friction bezel or a multiclick?! I'm still looking for a GMT that moves in half hour increments for using in locations with timezones like +X:30 gmt, if you know what I mean

100% agree on the unnecessary adding of the chronograph. I'm really not a fan of mixing chronograph in with other complications.

For me my watch’s second chronograph dial is forever on and the top pusher only moves the actual second hand. Is this a defect?

I bought the first Timex Q edition (38mm with Pepsi colors), and the quality was absolutely trash (yes, even for the price). I hope the models have improved since then

That's super lame they should have not made the big hand and the sub dial linked, so you could track 4 times zones. Wtf is the point of having an extra dial telling you the exact same info?
