A visit with my Cousin's plant collection. A tutorial on how I make easy self watering moss poles for climbing plants.
These particular self watering moss poles, are made for any pot with a water reservoir. So perfect for semi-hydro or self watering soil pots. They seriously do keep moss lightly hydrated. Makes it easy to quickly soak or just spray the pole bi-weekly once its filled with roots.

17:07 like making a burrito?? You have a good sense of joking by the way😂 Man, i really want to see your “assertive face” laughing And….damn!! you hack the problem of dried moss poles. Some plant content creators made it with a bottle in the top of the poles, i think this easier and neat way to make poles moist.

Lol felt like I worked at Chipotle for a min. Thanks, it seriously does work because those dry moss poles are hard to rehydrate. Appreciate you tuning in and laughing with me.

Those plants look amazing! 1:37 the blue cactus is a Brazilian species called _Pilosocereus azureus_ and it can grow super tall actually. 2:22 I think the cactus (behind the Pachypodium) is some kind of _Soehrensia candicans_ from Argentina. But the flowers really can tell who the baby daddy is 😉 haha

Also I think the new mosspoles are probably the best self-watering ones I've come across so far, so much easier; now if we could just get some clear chicken wire the aesthetics would be far better me thinks. Off to go and check out Mike's IG page now 👋🏃‍♀️

Thanks Carey, this is my cousins first yr at his house, I'm sure some updating to the plants outdoors will take place and I'll film if I can. I think the clear plastic D shaped moss poles from Amazon look the best, I should just add wicking string to them. Dry crispy moss pole is the most consistent complaint I'm hearing in the plant community LOL.

Cause sometimes the leaf are full block varigated but sometimes the leaf comes with no variegation :( Thats why the price is still high because the varigation is not stable, we must calculate the lights and pot media with low fertilizing. Decent idea but you could’ve used less moss and coco chunks by eliminating the first step. Adding the string straight down the middle would’ve been enough. I’m speaking from my experience. I’ve done the same exact thing using the white/clear zip-ties and white chicken wire. The other downside is the string will soak up too much of the nutrient leca water… unless you’re not using leca nutrients. That being said great job thank you for sharing.
