QUICK SHOPPING & AFTER DARK COOKING! BROCCOLI CHEDDAR SOUP

Hey family!!! In today's video we're taking the cooking outside again and this time we're making Broccoli Cheddar Soup over an open fire! Before we start cooking though we need to go to Walmart and Tractor Supply and we take a look at some Christmas!
Broccoli Cheddar Soup
Ingredients: NOTE: This makes a lot of soup so you may need to cut this recipe in half.
1 stick butter
1 small onion diced
6 cups cups fresh broccoli
4 cups chicken broth
½ teaspoon each thyme and onion or garlic powder
salt & pepper to taste
2 tablespoons flour2 tablespoons flour
1 cup heavy cream
1 cup sharp cheddar cheese shredded
Instructions
In a large saucepan, cook butter, onion and broccoli over medium heat until onion softens (about 3 minutes). Add chicken broth, and seasonings. Simmer until broccoli is softened, about 8 minutes.
Place flour in a small bowl. Add in cream a little at a time stirring until smooth. Continue whisking until thick and bubbly, about 3-4 minutes.
Remove from heat, stir in cheeses and serve immediately.

Oh my goodness.....our family is so smiliar to yours. My husband did cookout chili over our mini bonfire. We had chili and homemade garlic bread, an ice cold beer and funny stories and good laughs and smores for dessert, it was thee most perfect night. Being with family is so precious 💖.

Manley is the first little child I’ve seen who doesn’t run away when it’s bath and bedtime! He seems happy about everything. That soup looks delish. The hubs doesn’t like broccoli cheese soup or else I would be making that-yum. Cooking outside when it gets cool is a neat idea. Titus and his work with horses are endlessly fascinating. Such majestic, beautiful creatures. Jonah is growing up and showing his independence. Your kids are sweet and kind, just like their parents. 💙

I think we will put up our tree start of December, after or around St. NIckolas (December 6). Belgium has no thanksgiving (we don't know this Holiday at all). We go straight from November 1st, when we remember our dead (like your Memorial Day) to St. Nickolas to Christmas. I just can't believe this year went by so fast!
