Thank you! You know what I like most about this video? You're only showing the tools needed for this job. When I watch other metalworking videos, the person doing it is in their studio with tons of equipment everywhere, and it's really intimidating! I feel like, 'Oh, man, I don't have that setup! I'll never be able to do this thing!' 😄 So, thanks for the simplicity of it. Excellent video! I will definitely be checking out your other videos!

I'm glad that you liked the video. You'll see that I try to limit the focus on tools to merely the ones needed to accomplish the task. I hope you'll watch more videos and begin to experiment with some techniques that are new to you. Thanks for your support! : )

Exactly what I was thinking. Keeping it easy and elaborate without all the expensive machines. This is what I was looking for in a tutorial

Thanks for the compliment. I'm glad that the video helped you to get over your fear of working with pitch. I won't kid you. It can be messy and smoky to work with. But, there isn't another holding surface quite like it. I hope you'll give it a try. Thanks for your support! : )

This is excellent 🎉 thank you so much. Is it possible to also show the actual process of removing the pitch completely? I know it doesn’t sound very catchy but it is essential as I am completely new and have never seen someone doing it. Thank you, and your videos are top educational content ❤

Thank you for the compliment! Glad you liked the video. Unfortunately, we have no plans to do more chasing videos. I’m sure that you can find videos on other channels that detail the cleaning process. Just remember to work with good ventilation. 😃

Is there a way to remove the pitch without burning it from the surface of the metal? For instance is it removable with a chemical or certain type of abrasive? Have always been interested in chasing and repousse thank you for sharing a GREAT beginner friendly project that is BEAUTIFUL as well... I see a pendant and smaller ones for earrings... Oooohhh maybe a bunch of them connected with jump rings to make a nice bracelet with dangled stars between them... The possibilities are exciting and so inspiring. Thank you so much Professor Ahr!!

I’m glad that you were so inspired by the video. Pitch is basically sap. It can be dissolved in vinegar or acetone. 😀

You know I was always afraid of the pitch because I thought since it melts I could get burned but I was always interested in chasing and repousse. You show me how simple it can be. I think I'll look for more information about that
