A tip for anyone who is interested. Glue even tape glue is often oil soluble, so it is better to use cooking oil to remove glue and then use soap to remove the oil.

The Murano glass that was marked Venini is correct. I have a handkerchief vase that came from Italy with his etched signature on it. I inherited mine from my Aunt who was a WACK and spent time in Italy during WW2. I believe it would date around 1945 to early 50s. He was an artist that did pieces for Murano in his studio. Sometimes the etching is hard to see unless you are in just the right light. You can actually miss it sometimes.
