You present positive energy through your personality, humor, and teaching style, David. That’s greatly appreciated, Yes, a large panoramic of this scene would make a fantastic painting. I think it would also provide an excellent learning opportunity for a “hands on paint along” lesson. While I watch all of your tutorial videos (many multiple times), I find I’m learning more about the use of color harmony, tones, modeling, and continuum; light and dark placement; atmospheric and depth perception; and different application methods when painting.

Hi Dave! No appologies needed about letting the 16-year-old fur baby out. We have 3 here. A 5-year-old Siberian Husky, a 15-yr-old Maltese, (the old man of the group), and a small Chi-Chi. So it's many trips outside, for sure! Lots going on. You're a real trooper! God Bless You and Yours❤🙏🏻

Enjoy your art work so much. I currently can’t work due to health issues. I would love to follow you using oils which I’ve always used. Would love to learn acrylics when I can afford to buy them. My question is until then can I adapt and use the oils in most of these paintings? Thank you.

Do you like to do the background first or put your subject in first? Is it much easier to do in the background first
@JansenArtEducation4 ай бұрын
Depends on the painting. For Wildlife I like to work on the subject. Florals as well. Landscape I work back to front. Letting the sky set the depth and the mood. I do not follow a set technique. I paint what the painting needs to move forward.
