Well that was impressive. Frozen ash, 20” and 50cc. That’s a keeper.

Thanks! I think those things are really underrated. Not too expensive, and super light and just awesome ported! Just don't have the "cool" factor of the other brands. Nice work! They seem about 1 lb lighter than the 50cc dolmars, but I'm running a 16" 3/8 Tsumura light bar on mine, so that might be taking a little weight off too. It is just a backup saw, but gets used a lot.

@mweba1 Mitch, you're doing a Great job on the Echos! I'm not sure where the best place to ask for more info on the components, are you on OPE, or do you have a couple minutes (maybe even a video) to go thru some stuff like the crank bearings (are the steel caged 6202 E3 standard, or are they like Stihl and Huskies new saws wth the Nylon cages and proprietary design?). Thanks. Youve got me looking at a 7310, 501 or 4910 and maybe a 2511. Our local dealer doesnt have any of these models in stock so i can't even check out the anti-vib system. Thanks again😉👍

Every Echo saw I've been in runs steel cages and standard off the shelf sizes. Rarely on forums these days. Get many of my saws from Sawsuppliers in wisconsin. Use Promo code chainsawrepair for a discount.

It might not seem like a big deal to most, but the 4910 and the 501p don't seem to have felling sights on the recoil side of the saw. I know they do on the clutch side, but that would be something that I would really miss on a pro saw.
@Obeconobe73 жыл бұрын
I can't speak for the 4910, but my 501P does. Right behind the rope pull. It kind of blends in with the design of the recoil cover so I took a black wedge tipped Sharpie and marked it all the way around the saw.

Care to share what tooth gap chain you’re running? At least half skip to be spilling chips like that. She’s screamin, drags filed? Muff mod (pretty sure).
@Jv199793 жыл бұрын
I'm thinking about getting the 4910 or the 501 for climbing. I take down a lot of pines and need a saw with a bigger bar that's light. The stihl 201 has a max bar of 16in. What would you recommend.
@mweba13 жыл бұрын
I'd get the 4910, it is a 501P rebranded. The one in video is for sale.

Reliable saw with a bit dated design. Build quality is top notch but power to weight is lacking compared to the latest offerings from Husky and Stihl. That being said, great value for the price.

Great videos! It’s nice to see someone pick up a saw in a different shade of orange and do something with it. I have watched your videos on Husqvarna 350 builds and have done a few. However, I have one that is kicking my butt with repeated air leaks in different places of the bearing cap. What gasket maker do you prefer and how long do you let it set up before pressure testing and starting? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I use Motoseal. Make sure the plastic case isn't cracked around the metal sleeves. I've seen that many times.
