Quick Tip: Glock® Slide Release Installation / Removal

On a Glock® pistol, the slide release lever rides on the trigger pin and in turn helps retain the trigger pin in place. And it does its job really well: If you want to change the trigger OR the slide release, the trigger pin is darned hard to remove UNLESS you know the secret trick. Brownells Gun Tech Steve Ostrem shows us how to do it. Once you know it, the pin just drops out, and you'll look like a pro. If you don't, you'll be whaling on your Glock® with a hammer and punch. Fixed my issue by punching pin through, it springing back, pushing pin back into place. Viola!

Is the slide release being bent a cause of a failure to rack? I thought it was the recoil spring assembly but after a little research realized the slide release may be the culprit. For the slide getting caught up and not fully racking

I installed my slide release the same as in the video yet instead of the spring pushing the catch up to catch the slide its pulling the catch down into the frame, so inorder to catch the slide I have to push the catch into the slide how do I fix this?
