Before I got my Q 20, I used the little white plastic bobbin genie in my Bernina sewing machine to keep the bobbin from whirling while quilting. I have continued to use them in my Q 20 out of habit. After watching your video, do I need the white plastic bobbin genie or does this little black thingy take its place?

This break spring performs far better than the bobbin genie. And you should use this spring which comes with the Q 20 bobbin
