Cool video :) It's often harder to learn local dialects since they aren't taught as frequently as standard Japanese, so thank you!

Nice video, thanks! Your videos in general are great. I learned a bit to speak in Kansai-ben (yeah. more kansai-ben. I kinda sometimes say it in osaka-ben and another time in kyouto-ben, haha) It´s very funny during japanese lessons.Our teacher is happy (and often laughs) when we speak dialects. Another guy in my class often uses tokyo-dialect. Sensei says that we shouldn´t forget the normal japanese though xD

Supposedly overstaying your welcome and being offered leftover tea on rice to say it’s time to go. ^^;;
Interesting! I'm going to Kyoto for the first time in a couple of months, I wonder if it'll be more difficult to understand what people are saying there? (I'm still a beginner at Japanese!)

Thanks for the video :) Wow, that street is really old-fashioned - I mean I like it! But I guess I would be a little bit scared to be there at night, because it's kinda empty. (does my comment make any sense? o_O)
@barbararamires11914 жыл бұрын
No, because gion at night is very busy actually
@alestane23 жыл бұрын
@@barbararamires1191 But not so busy now with the pandemic. I had a walk there a few weeks ago with friends from Tokyo; at 20:30 there was almost nobody around, it felt like it was midnight already. It didn't feel scary at all, though.
@barbararamires11913 жыл бұрын
@@alestane2 It's actually sad to hear that. Gion is so special at the night, it's like it has something magical in there. Now with the pandemic, all of that was almost lost, but I have faith that after all this ends, Gion can come back to its "original " environment ^^
