That's obviously not for beginners, but it's quite interesting and challenging way of sculpting if you're bored of making everything in default pose.

I'm actually curious and not trying to "throw shade" but 19.8 (rounded) million polygons? How is anybody gonna use that in production? Or is it more for artistic purposes? Or even better is there a way to simplify that level of complexity down keeping the majority of your details but eliminating unnecessary polygons?

Great tips. How did you smooth the entire model? Was that a clay polish, or merely Shift+draw on the model?
@blakeXYZ4 жыл бұрын
You can try under Deformation Tab > Smooth/Polish All

@10:00 mark Steve says: "I'll probably re-sculpt this probably around ten different times." - I just have to say wow, what an artistic luxury to be allowed to explore the best result. If I pulled a stunt like that at my work I would be fired before I even knew what hit me.

Killer work, Steve! Have you ever tried working from a pre-fab model such as a DAZ Genesis 8? Those have pretty good geometry (IMO). And you can pose them in the software before Importing.

@@kullenberg As opposed to starting with a kazoo? By the halfway point of this video, the model would be posed and he'd be ready to start adding his own sculpt on top.

Can I ask your help? I have spent weeks trying to do the simplest thing in Zbrush: IMPORT MY MESH, SCUPLT ON IT (Wiithout changing number of vertices) and re-export,. Does one always have to START FROM SCRATCH? This maddening,. i will probably just end up using the Paint deformation in 3ds Max's Edit Poly ... What I used Zbrush for 25 years ago, it seems incapable of doing, has its simplest function been lost in translation? I don't know why I ask, i'm always too depressed to see if I got any answers...
@daniboiyy4 жыл бұрын
yeah you should be able to do that
@MayaTutors4 жыл бұрын
import, select your mesh, click and drag in the main window to draw it, press edit at the top, you can now sculpt when you import a mesh, you import it as a ztool, you dont change the document. you need to draw that ztool into your document so you can change it.
