Quick Tutorial Make a Mandala in Adobe Illustrator

So this is just a quick tutorial on the process I use to make Mandalas in Adobe Illustrator. It's a quick process to get started, however the rest depends on how much time you want to dedicate to making your mandala. This video just shows you on how you can get started on making your mandala, however if you want to see a more extensive tutorial, please feel free to let me know in the comments and I'll be happy to make a more extensive video on the process :D

when i use transform and copies the path copies are appearing around itself

No worries, this happened to me too the first time I tried it, so make sure that when you add the transform and copies, you're selecting the layer itself and not just the stroke or a specific object under that layer. You can select all the objects on the layer and apply the effects to the layer by clicking on the radio button to the right of the layer in the layers window. Hope this helps! 😁

hi I was using your techniche just to make the outside form of the mandala. I cannot seem to save it to use though to use in a project I was working on. Is it possible to save these mandalas as an object,?

@@LuDeLaCruz for example this mandala, if I want to use it with another a group of objects. I can't seem to select it and copy the whole thing to paste it into another document

Yeah normally what I would recommend is group the entire layer together, use the selection tool to select all the objects in that group, copy and then open the project you want to use it in and paste it in there in a new layer. This might work for what you're wanting to do
