Quick Update & A Favor

Hi friends...first let me apologize for the abrupt ending. I ran out of space on my phone.
I just wanted to give you an update regarding my appointment with my new Neurosurgeon here is Florida that's this afternoon and to explain where I've been the past few days.

Hi there. Thank you so much for your comment and I am really glad that my videos helped you. That was the only reason I was able to find the courage to get in front of the camera and talk about something so very personal. My channel is a craft channel and always has been but since being diagnosed with TN and now AD, it has also become a platform for me to share my journey with this horrific disease and to hopefully reach out to others who are seeking firsthand experience and information from a person who actually has the disease and not just doctor/medical journal/case study information. Does that make sense? When is your surgery? Please know that you can always reach out to me for support if you ever need it okay? You are not alone in this, there are a lot of really good online support groups and others like myself who share their story publicly. Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers during this uncertain time of meeting a new doctor and finding the right pain control treatment that works best for you. I suffer from Fibromyalgia which causes a slew of symptoms the worst being widespread pain and fatigue. Hope all goes well!

Thank you Lori : ) I really appreciate your prayers as they are much needed and appreciated. I have a former co-worker who also has fibromyalgia. She was always so fatigued and in so much pain and eventually she had to quit working. I'm sorry to hear that you also suffer from fibro. I can't imagine how you feel exactly since I have something totally different but we both suffer from an "invisible illness" so we are the same in that sense. You are so right about this time being uncertain. I was so comfortable with my doctors in Oregon and trying to establish care in a new state surrounded by people who don't know me is a bit challenging. I will say that I got lucky with my new Neurologist here. She is amazing and very knowledgeable with Trigeminal Neuralgia and Anesthesia Dolorosa. I don't mean to imply that Florida doctors don't know about my disease, I just mean that its sometimes a crap shoot on whether you get a wonderful doctor who is familiar with your diagnosis. I hope that made sense. Sorry for the long reply but thank you again for your support : )

Hi Abby Oh gosh girl so sorry to hear you've done with facial pain dog gone it anyway..here I thought you've just been MIA because you were having fun with your hubby & daughter and getting her all set to start school. Hi Linda...I seriously have tears of appreciation in my eyes right now. Your comment and the others from this video have really touched my heart and I am beyond blessed to have such supportive friends like you. I was trying so hard to get up and work in my room so I would have some new content for you all but I was just in so much pain that I couldn't do it. I am really hoping this new doctor can offer some sort of help for me. My appointment is tomorrow actually, the 6th. I don't know if you saw my latest update video I posted last week but the doctor was called out on an emergency when we were in the waiting room. I will for sure keep you all updated. I know this was posted a while ago and that your appointment with your new neurosurgeon has already happened... However, I still wanted to send you positive thoughts. I have a seizure disorder and I can't seem to find out why or how to get things under control. It started when I was 19 and I am 42 now, so it's been over 20 years of trying medications and treatments and meeting neurologists, neuro-psychiatrists and all kinds of specialists, so I can definitely empathize with the nervous energy you get before an appointment and the anxiety that accompanies it. The possibilities that a new doctor can offer, the hope of finally finding a solution or at least better quality of life, these are all things that fuel the worry which accompany the meeting of yet another physician.. I hope things went well. Sending you a virtual hug.
