I have at the moment a pair of Tumucumaque just started to lay so no tads yet still laying a few duds but a lovely frog. Also breeding Lorenzo very small tinc and very bold one of my favourites Mike Howlett (UK)

Hey. I have sum tadpoles in my swimming pool. I thought they all were green tree frogs. But half are tiny and black still. The other half (which showed up only a few days after i watched the initial black tadpoles hatch) are Huge !! Both specimens are less than 10 days old by now I would guess, yet the second group are already growing back legs. If I send u a pic of the 2 different types, can u tell me if they are both tree frogs ( maybe one group is just growing ALOT FASTER than the others) or if I have tree frogs and maybe toads or bullfrogs ?? Thanks !!

Out of curiosity, why is mixing frog breeds bad? I’m new to frogs. I’m assuming each type is it’s own species? Like tigers, lions…etc? Or like breeding a python to a boa. Morphs happen with the same species just different colorations. I think. If I understand this all correctly. What books would you recommend for dart frogs and vivarium plants? Love your channel and looking forward to more!

I got a pair of the blue arrow frogs yesterday, Friday 10/24/20, and they areTINY. They look like thumb nails. I got them from Petco and the lady said they were full grown, but I don’t think so. I researched them before I bought them and I don’t think these are full grown at all. I guess I’m asking how big do the blue arrows get?

They are not full grown, Dendrobates tinctorius 'Azureus' can reach 1 1/2 - 2 inches in length as adults. I would always recommend doing your own research before buying an animal.

@@TCSDartFrogs thanks for answering my question. I’m glad I researched them beforehand for sure. However, I had 2 blue ones and 2 cobalts. I found one of my blues yesterday, she had passed and was at the bottom of the tank under a leaf 😔 I’m not sure what I did but I feel awful about it. They were the only 2 in the cage. The others seem fine and have been doing good. They are staying so tiny though, it worries me. How fast do they grow? Does it take them a long time to get larger?
