Love chocolate milk. 66 yrs young and drink it everyday to make up for lost time when i was wayyy younger and mom said "no". There is a small jersey dairy and creamery about 5 miles from me here in Eastern NC. I support them via chocolate milk during the year and ice cream in the summer. They also produce a wicked egg nog this time of year. No matter what happens with our future economy, as long as they have milk I'm going to be drinking it. Thanks

Hi Piet. Greetings from Montreal, however, it seems Carrington has become the "Great White North." We are in low single digits, with little snow to speak of this week. Hope the ladies and the "Little Moo Cows" are staying warm. If you can see your breath indoors, isn't it cold ?? Hope the family is doing well. Stay Warm out there.

We try to keep the barns open as much as possible to have good air flow. The cows don't mind the cool Temps.

We've thought about trying their door seal on a section, but I don't think the curtain is heavy enough to keep it sealed to the floor.

Looks chilly, 25 Celsius and sunny here in NZ as it's just about summer. Would it help to plant more trees as shelter belts around the perimeter of the buildings?

We have tree cover to the north and to the west of the farm. I wouldn't want trees any closer to the barns, because it would negatively affect air flow in the summer.
