OMG - I am thinking back to the mid-90's when I had a scary car situation. I had just moved to a DC suburb. It was mid-February and freezing cold. I was driving on the Capital Beltway when my car suddenly lost all power and completely turned off. Fortunately, it was a Sunday and there was less traffic than normal. I was able to coast past the construction zone I was driving past and pull off the road. Luckily, I had recently gotten my first cell phone and a AAA membership. Otherwise, I don't know what I would have done - I was young and single and just moved to a new part of the country. It was very scary and I am so relieved I was able to get off the Beltway and call for help.

I had that problem with a car years ago-- dreaded every stoplight! It started after we had someone replace the timing belt. We wondered if he had messed it up. My old Odyssey (bought it new and kept it for 17 years!) had removable captain's chairs. It was great for moving our kids to college and apartments. I have a CR-V now, and it doesn't have nearly the amount of space. The dealership keeps wanting to buy it back because they need used cars-- I've had it less than 2 years. Those cookies look amazing BTW!

I had a similar issue with my vehicle turning off at red lights, turning lanes at busy intersectinos, drive-thrus, etc. Turns out, the auto-stop feature was engaged and instead of having to restart the engine the traditional way, all I had to do was press the gas peddle to wake the engine back up. I wish the salesman would have told us about it when we purchased the vehicle. I now turn that feature off because it's so frustrating, and I can't imagine it's good for the starter. Anyway, not sure if that will help you, but thought I'd pass it along.

Unfortunately that’s a feature thats becoming more common. I have to turn my off every time I get in.

I love my Volkswagen atlas it has captains chairs the third backseat I have had Nissan armadas pick up trucks all sorts of cars and hands-down my favorite What you get for the money you should definitely take a look at it
