Hi Chad love the video excellent filming and editing. Quick question is it legal to fly drones in your state parks. Here in Florida drones are banned from State parks and unfortunately most county parks.

amazing truly cinematic footage...I have watched some other videos and many look overexposed and with "jerky" motion...but yours look well exposed and smooth...clearly it has to do with you! I never had a drone (i live in Canada) and I have been discouraged by so many drone rules but this mini looks good for a first drone for sure. Do you think the DJI refresh care is a good idea? I know it won't cover lost drones but would it cover most crashes? Just wondering. I won't bother with ND filters and I don't need it to fly too high or far really-I would use it for some Real Estate, establishing shots, Park sections for weddings (when life comes back to normal)...I'm a bit concerned about the no fly zones (of course I won't go near an airport). I'm hoping to get some video gigs this summer but I'm still hopeful...thanks for sharing...
@ChadB4 жыл бұрын
Thank you very much. That means a lot. I will certainly suggest getting the DJI refresh. Especially if its your first drone. Also, I suggest using ND filters if you're trying to use it professionally. Without them, you wont be able to dial in your settings and many scenes will be way overexposed.
@TheFandangovideoguy4 жыл бұрын
@@ChadB ok...Great! I think I will get it soon and just learn how to fly it...life will go back to some normal soon...you got awesome results with the Mini. The DJI refresh sounds like a good idea. Great video Chad B. Hope Chris is good. How’s he doing by the way? So in a head to head comparison do you like MA2 or MM better overall? I think I’m going to buy the Mavic air 2 because I don’t need something for a backpack-my drone will be in a hard case when I travel. The technical explanation for video settings and filters was much appreciated!Thanks-keep the great drone footage coming!
@ChadB4 жыл бұрын
Thanks Eric...Chris is doing well. I believe he's just taking a little break. The MA2 has more bells and whistles, but It all depends on what you need it for. I could find a need for both so it's hard to answer that question. However, you can't go wrong with the Mavic Air 2.

Would you recommend the mavic mini or the fimi x8se?
@ChadB4 жыл бұрын
It all depends...They are both good quads. However the Fimi tends to be more problematic. One thing I don't like about the Fimi is the transmission signal. The video feed is always choppy; no matter how close you are. The Mini is very lightweight so there are days when you wouldn't be able to fly, but could the fly the Fimi. I had the same choice 8 months ago and I chose the Fimi. But knowing what I know now, I would have gotten the Mini. Hope that helps.

Well done, Chad. I like your videos and that your skillset is evolving. I really like the Mavic Mini. The 2.7k looks great. I’m not real big on 4K. I will film in the highest resolution I can but usually render in 1080p. So 2.7k is more than enough. I used the Mini to get footage for a work event and it was played on a massive screen. It looked great. The update for manual control was huge. As long as you film in the right lighting conditions and use ND filters, like you do, it is great. And another upside is you don’t have the stress of putting a $1,500 run g in the air and having something go wrong. Which makes the Mini more fun.
@ChadB4 жыл бұрын
Thank you very much Brian. It's hard for me to tell the difference between 2.7k and 4k anyway. I wanted to maximize the camera's capabilities so I had to get filters. This was my first really using filters so it took a lot of trial and error when finding to right filter for a shot.
@Brian-ss2dp4 жыл бұрын
@@ChadB I usually can't tell either. Getting the right ND filter and nailing the exposure is the challenging part for me. I have to say, I am a little jealous of the areas you get to fly. It is usually 110-115 degrees this time of year in the Phoenix area. So I don't get out much in the summer months. You got great footage of a beautiful area. Keep the videos rolling!

Amazing drone indeed! Unfortunately mine auto-landed (due to low battery) in a deserted area near the mountains and was not able to get it back. Flying the Mavic Mini in strong wind is strictly not recommended. Another weird thing which I experienced was while trying to get the drone back to me it went further away (i'm sure I was using the right direction), maybe due to the wind? Not really sure about that.
@ChadB4 жыл бұрын
Sorry to hear that. Its rated for 17 mph winds, but I wouldn't even try that. I'm not sure if you tried or not, but if you switched it to sport mode, you may have had a chance. Also, in strong winds the RTH feature won't work and the aircraft will drift. I almost lost my Air 2 that way. I also lost connect during the whole ordeal and the aircraft drifted off course. But was able to reconnect and take over the controls, lower my altitude and fight through the wind to get it back safely. Hopefully you'll able to get another at some point. Thanks
@kevinnurseegadoo51934 жыл бұрын
@@ChadB I almost felt like I was not totally in control of the drone but then I tried rotating the camera and it worked but the wind further pushed it away. Yeah I have also tried the sport mode but unfortunately it kept on moving away. Anyway, lesson learned. Looks like an adventure you had with the Air 2 to get it back safely XD

I wouldn’t have any intention of negativity to comment about your footages they’re stunning; I consider myself as “new” in the drone movement: so I initiated myself wit a low cost budget drone ($120 unknown brand) horrible but at the same time helpful no altitude control, no gps, no rth, absolutely nothing, about a week ago I treated myself buying the amazing DJI MM fly more combo this is the most beautiful experience flying a drone but I’m not very familiar with the settings yet so I’m here to “stealing” your ideas so, here’s my question (hope is not too dumb or maybe it is) so those filters are the ones help the drone camera to catch those amazing video clips or they are to improve the quality?? Excuse my ignorance, greetings btw here you have a new subscriber.
@ChadB4 жыл бұрын
Thank you. I'm fairly new to drones myself and this was my first time using filters. The filters don't improve the quality of the video per se; however, it acts like sun shades for the camera which allows you to slow down the shutter speed and lower ISO for that cinematic look. Otherwise without filters on the Mini, you would not be able to dial in the proper settings and risk your footage being overexposed.

Not a professional drone? I got paid using this drone professionally. it's never about the gear you sue it's how you use it, that is the difference of a pro and amateur. also why hasn't the guy taken off the stickers off the drone it's gross
@ChadB4 жыл бұрын
Sorry you feel that way. Yes, it is how you use it and that was the message I was trying to convey. The video shows that you can get quality video from it. Also, he has the right to do whatever he wants with his drone and if he wants to leave the stickers on, then so be it. I wasn't worried about stickers, why should you be. They're just stickers.
@QCGUY4 жыл бұрын
Let me explain the stickers for ya. Why haven’t I taken them off? Because I often sell some of my quads and I sell them in good as new condition because I take care of them unlike my brother Chad here who ran it into a bush. 😂 I put them back in the original box just as I got them out of the box and a newbie buying it appreciates that when he gets it. What’s gross is that it’s not your quad and it bothers you so much that it’s quoted as gross by you and your focus being on that made you miss the point Chad was making here. Step away from the video games and share your professional money making stuff here as Chad has in what is very professionally produced here in this video. Stickers.....LMAO 😂
