Hi Brian , what is your opinion on T2 85 vs UV 88 ? the size of the blade is the same I would like an all round paddle adjustable for long distance, sprint and technical race. I paddle most of the time on flat water or rivers I have 171-176 lbs, my heght is 6/ 183cm sports figure I'm currently using a 90 sqin blade , it's similar (blade similar to T2) However, I am not entirely sure about the size of the blade, because it is 5 mm narrower than the T2 at the same height. I'm thinking about the UV88, the power appeals to me, but I like long smooth paddling and I don't know if the UV88 is for me, when I communicated with quickblade they told me that the UV is specially designed for sprints and waves. I'm a bit confused about UV88, whether it would be effective to use it also on Long distance 10-20km +- The UV is somewhat similar to the Paddle Lima from starboard and is used by riders in all conditions.

Hey, so for long distance I would totally go with the T2 85. To me its less taxing on the body then the UV. I paddle longer distances and have the T2 after trying both. So I would recommend going with the T2. Hope this helps and feel free to ask me any other questions.

@@brianlefeve9422 Great, thank you very much for the answer, did you have the opportunity to try the adjustable paddle? My vision is that I would buy a T2 85, which I would shorten for a sprint if necessary. The only thing I'm worried about is that I won't break the paddle, since there will be 3 holes in it on both sides. And I'm especially interested in whether there is any play on such an adjustable paddle during paddling. Once again, thank you very much for the answer!

@@Slavo851 So I am not a fan of the adjustable and like you would be afraid of breakage as well. There will be a little play as well. Maybe try choking up during sprints, or if you can afford it, get two, but get the fixed for sure! BTW you will really dig the paddle!

@@brianlefeve9422 Honestly, I would need 4, because I ride two paddleboards with different heights, one is 15 cm high and the other is 12 cm. That's why I saw an adjustable paddle as the ideal solution, but I'm very sensitive to the paddle. Currently, I have an adjustable paddle, but I made modifications to it to hold it firmly and not move even by a mm. I quite like the system used by Quickblade, but I have concerns about the holes they use and the tactile feedback while paddling.if I had one paddleboard, it would be easier 🙈

As a new paddler I appreciate such a thorough review. I figured why waste my time with lesser paddles, let me go straight to the best. I am 5'6" and 182 lbs, so I worry that the 88 is made for guys much bigger than me. What do you think? I'm right now thinking of buying a barely used 88, but if an 82 is way better for me, I probably won't be able to afford it new... Thank you Brian!

Hey guitta Dabe, yeah would not recommend the 88, as I said in the video it is bigger than the number projects. If you can find a used 82 I would go that route. Or a 81 V Drive which a an incredible paddle also. I have a buddy who is selling his 81 V Drive for $349 if interested. I hope this helps! Be safe!
