Did you check the box in the invoice template to show it on the screen and print it?

Yes you can. It’s kind of an odd way to do it but go to your template list and make all the ones you don’t want to use Inactive and leave the one you set up as the only active one. It should then default to this one

I want to add a pay link to the invoice template. I have the link information to use I just need a box that I can put it in . I can label it Pay Here or Pay Now.

You would have to use the layout designer. Not sure though if QB will let you add a clickable Link if you don’t use their processing

I don't get it, I went to List and I don't have "Templates". I can't figure out how to include on an invoice past due amounts or overpayment/credits, I have QBs Desktop 2019.

Irene Sanchez not sure why you don’t have that. Are you using Pro or Premier? For including that info, look at creating statements instead of invoices. You can include those items on statements.

Hi, when my invoices has more than 1 page...that is usual...how can I have in the last page the subtotal, tax, total, payments and balance due with their numbers. Not printed in all the pages: subtotal, tax, total, payments and balance due without their numbers, please!!!

Why won't my invoice print the total of added tax on paper when it's clicked to print and show on screen? Do I manage this on the layout customizer? It prints the word sales tax but won't print the calculated total, it's blank when it prints

Yeah that’s strange. Check in the layout designer and see if you need to move something around in there.

I fixed it, I just deleted the box for sales tax and then put it back and it's printing out on the invoice again. 🤷‍♀️ Thank

when using the "other 1" and "other 2" in the column tab of additional customization, how do you get it to pull a figure? I am looking to add a "amount remaining on contract" column on a progress billing, which will be the amount of the "estimate" less "(amount+prior amount). I cant see any way to do this? What are these "other" columns supposed to be for if it wont pull an amount?

Unfortunately those columns are designed to be blank so you can additional info to the face of the invoice. You can add Custom Fields to Items in your Item List that you can then have show up on the template related to that Item. Have you also tried the Progress Invoicing function?

Rick yes you can. You can customize the layout of the template and that is one of the options. Go to the List drop down menu and choose Templates. Then highlight the one you want to edit and choose Edit

How do I add another charge to a invoice that has already been created and sent out to the client?

You can simply go to that invoice, open it on your screen and add the line item, then resend it.

@@meghanshumake902 go the customer center under the customer drop down menu and find the customer and highlight them on the left. On the lower right a listing of transactions should show up (make sure the date range is right). Double click the invoice and it should show up on your screen
