Hey Claudia, thank you for the video!!! You helped me with a burning question in my mind regarding the Square Balance in the app setup. You showed that it is a bank account that will operate like a clearing account. This showed up in your previous video back on 4/21/21 at the 6:37 mark. A pop up came up, stating a stored balance is being held. Not sure what that really means…but that leads into something else…when did Connect to Square go live? In 2021? Thank you again for the video!!!

Hey Claudia...thanks for the info. I am in the process of installing/evaluating Square for Restaurants. I am a Quickbooks Online user. Love the Banking feature with matching functionality. My current POS system has a very easy to use import tool to essentially create an automated sales journal entry that imports every night after close of day. I was expecting Square to work the same way....I thought we could just import in the information from the Sales Summary report.....Credit side...Food sales, wine sales, beer sales, sales tax, tips etc. Off set by the Debits...Cash, CC Payments etc. Again...seems very simple....does Square/QB have this kind of summary export/connection?

Hi Jeff, yes it sends the summary at the end of the day. It is not a perfect integration it still has a few bugs. But in general it is good, and sends the summary with all the daily summary. When you have gift card and mixed cash credit card transactions we see issues with the information migration.
