Please also keep in mind that these were public entities, belonging to the people on Ontario. The buy back is specifically targeted at removing property from individuals that the government of the day deems inappropriate. No doubt this is a "science based" decision.

LOL I live in the middle of predator territory here in West Central Alberta. Grizzlies, black bear, cougars... I don't go anywhere on my property or the surrounding area without my shotgun. I can still hunt with my bow but I'm getting older and one year, I'll have to switch back to a rifle. The disconnect and obtuse nature with that Alan Drummond is astounding. People need to be able to hunt for food! Thank you QD for this podcast! I was a single mom, and my former husband left us without food, money or firewood, a kind neighbor hunted for us. We enjoyed Moose, Deer and even black bear. Other neighbors gave us fish (we were on the coast then) and I canned the meat and fish and shared it with many low income families. Hunters really helped us to survive.

Well, no they're not actually lessening the sentence. They are removing mandatory minimum sentences. A judge can still sentence a person convicted to whatever term he feels is appropriate.

Most people I know who own guns don't do it for the "self defence" excuse. They are hunters, although I know more bird hunters than venison, but also for the farmers ther is things like problem coyote control, or even euthanasia of an Animal like a cow. Many of the cattle farmers I know keep guns handy for that reason alone, and you can't use a little ole pea gun to do it either and do it humanly. People really do need to be educated about Canadian gun laws. It has never been a law abiding gun owner who has killed anyone, AND because of the education component we also have fewer of the su B accidental shootings from people improperly storing firearms or improper handling of fire arms. Our gun laws are good enough. It is our police and actual laws that are in place that need to be enforced, and for heavens sake, we need to stop the revolving do justice system. Most of these criminals are repeat offenders who are repeatedly turned loose with almost no consequences for their offences.

My mom watched the NS gunman drive right past their place, just before he executed the RCMP officer in Shubenacadie. He got all his weapons and ammo illegally. I'm living in the city right now - temporarily and not for much longer, I hope - but you're spot on: hunting to put food in the freezer is part of life, and part of my family's history here in sunny AB. Just the thought of some of your pulled venison, or some of "Dr. Henry's Moose Sausage" (now there was a man who knew what can be done with a moose!), is great. But I think you've nailed it in one. Allan Drummond's whole schtick is that we all must live life according to someone else's likes, or dislikes. If he doesn't like to hunt, or eat deer or moose, hey - he's free not to. But why should the rest of us, particularly here in Sask/Alta have our lives, likes and dislikes dictated by the likes of him? It seems like all the people who think and talk as he does are not content to look after their own lives, they insist on running everyone's affairs. That seems to be the common thread - people like that want others to be forced to live according to their ideas. And it doesn't matter whether I'm living in the country, or am stuck in the city as I am right now - I still enjoy the same things, the same activities, and that'll never change. It doesn't, and never has harmed anyone else, so why are these clowns trying to mind my business, and yours, and all our neighbors? Excellent video quick! Who the hell does this fella think he is to tell anyone where they can get their food from? Has he ever set foot on ground that wasn’t pavement or concrete? I’m 35 years old and I can count on one hand the number of times I have purchase meat from a supermarket in my adult life. Probably count on one hand the number of times my family of 6 had meat from the super market as a kid too. I was raise on wild game and my kids are too. It’s who we are. As a family we spend every fall together out in nature hunting to put up meat for the year. At any given time you can open our freezer and find delicious geese, ducks, grouse, fish, moose, elk , and deer. What ever we happen to draw a tag for and get lucky enough to take. Maybe not this time of year, the old freeze is starting to look pretty empty, but the season is right around the corner. Wild meat is always share between our families friends and neighbours. It delicious, organic and a great way to bring family and friends together. We have the DEEPEST respect for nature and wild life. We will always hunt for our food and NO ONE is going to make us feel bad about it and NO ONE IS GOING TO STOP US!!!! Thanks again for the great recipe!!!!!! @@kurtcobanger401 You got to love people like that. Do you hunt for your family now? We eat a lot of wild meat ( deer, moose, elk, grouse) my kids all grew up on it right from the start. We love hunting.

Hi buddy many people don't know this but the whole reason we started to bring in our game heads into our homes was to thank them for feed us - the animal gave its life so we may eat and live another day. Our crops aren't looking too good up here in Meadow Lake but most will get something and I am told that we should have enough feed for this winter. We have just been getting enough rain to keep the weeds alive. lol Fires are bad this year. We hear you guys have it bad down there. Not enough rain again. We all hope that you get some more soon. I really enjoyed the video. Another 1,000,000,000 wasted by the time these guys are done it maybe 2 or 3. How about them enacting S- 39... those lying b@$tards. Well You all take care~eh glenarthur
