Excellent bit of kit. Great video as always.

Thank you! Yeah it's great value if you don't have the space for a two post lift.

Good video ,thanks for bringing this issue to my attention, was thinking of buying the QuickJack but now realise it may not meet my future requirements.

Thank you! The extension Quickjack offers is still a bit too short for my Jaguar. However, there is the possibility to have custom extensions made or, if they wait distribution of your car allows it, to turn the Quickjack 90° and lift it sideways. You also need to make sure to have a large enough space for that or 3lse work outside.

FYI you don’t put thread sealant on the o ring fittings and the JIC fittings

the instructions say you can turn them diagonally and use them across the car, instead of parallel along the sills, the only important thing is they must be parallel to each other.

Exactly, they always need to be perfectly parallel to each, but on top of that it only works on cars that have a close to 50:50 weight distribution. Last but not least I'm not sure if my garage is large enough for this method since the car would move up and sideways as the lift rises.

I gave this a thumbs up just for the fact that you get ANYTHING done in that closet you call a "home garage" ! ..SMH.. next you'll be assembling a ship in a bottle ! 😇❤

😂😂😂 Thank you and that is soo true. My "closet" is deep but nowhere near large enough to work with ease. I can't afford to rent a place just yet but I'm slowly growing my repair services, so eventually I will move to a proper workshop.

Excellent achat, si mon garage n'était pas en pente, je me laisserai tenter.

Si mon garage était plus large, je pourrai m'en servir encore mieux.🙂

I was an early buyer of the 7000TL. The Quickjacks work ok if you're lucky and get one without a defective air cylinder. If you do get one of those you're screwed - the company will 100% not stand behind their product. They'll claim the air-assist down isn't "necessary to the function of the lift". Really? So if one side has air assist down and the other doesn't, and they drop unevenly, that's safe? And then when the vehicle drops to the ground and one side of the lift goes straight to the full down position while the other... doesn't. You need to wait... and wait... and wait for it to drop with no weight on it. Quickjack will claim this "is normal operation" and that "it will get better over time". If you invest a massive amount of time trying to get them to stand behind their product they will, eventually, after burning through every once of customer goodwill, send out a new cylinder. Yay! Until you get the replacement and the freakin' air side is literally capped off. Like intentionally made unusable. That's not a fix guys. Then they'll claim that the engineers decided the down-assist wasn't necessary and that they've changed the design on future models. But I didn't buy a future model with less functionality. I bought the current model with exactly the functionality I wanted, was promised, and paid for. Oh, and clearly it's not true because 18 months later the new models still have the air cylinder. Whatever. I'm tired of the lies and prevarications - life is too short. I've written off the entire company as another skanky marketing hack with no integrity. I still have the quickjack in my shop, but the company worked very hard to make me regret my purchase and it low-key pisses me off every time I look at it.

It's unfortunate you had that experience with Quickjack. They've now been around for a few years and I'm hoping it to be a reliable product by now. Should I ever have a warranty issue and they refuse to hold up their end of the deal, I can always publish a factual video about the issue.😆
