Man, what a beauty!!! Glad using the side panels to keep tires and legs from tangling. LOVE this project!!! Tubing is hefty looking. 😎

Keep arms and legs inside the ride at all times!

Love watching the ideas flow from your head to the project. This is nostalgia plus what a great idea makes me reminisce ,Big Daddy Don, Shirley Muldoon , D. Gartlets.

I don't really have a plan, but figure it out on the fly. The roll bar is just like the one Garlits had on his first rail.

Josh, enjoy seeing you work through this build out loud. Looks like the dragster is coming together nicely. Anxious to see your next video.

Safety 13th is more like it. Just kidding. I'm diggin this build. The lite hearted attitude cracks me up. 👍

Thanks for sharing, Josh! The "T" body panels worked out very nicely! 'Looking forward to future episodes. I know you're waiting to post the "first-fire!" video! (smile!) Question...what are you thinking with respect to the push-bar? Enjoy! Be safe! Bro Harry
@QuickSpeedShop Жыл бұрын
What do you mean the push bar? You mean the roll bar? I patterned it after Don Garlits first rail of the same time frame.

@@QuickSpeedShop Wasn't "Big Daddy's" first dragster push-started?
@QuickSpeedShop Жыл бұрын
Maybe. A lot of them were. Some early rails ran a clutch, but direct drive so they had to be pushed to the line. Kind of similar to sprint cars running in/out boxes.

The heim joint on spindle steering arm is not period correct.use a tie rod end.
@QuickSpeedShop Жыл бұрын
I know that, but it's what I have to work with. The steering arm is drilled for a heim. I'm not building a concourse car and I don't have a 7° reamer to fit up tie rod ends.
