I have played Arma 1, 2, & 3 for years now. I absolutely love the game and what mod devolpers have done for the community. Reformer looks amazing with its tightened gameplay. I am sad I won't be able to experience it on PC. My PC is showing its age and cannot keep up with modern games anymore. With prices what they are I cannot afford to build or buy a new one. With arma on Xbox, I can afford that and I am happy I will be able to play a series I love again.

Xbox is a great gaming platform if that's all you want. PC is versatile but xbox is strictly a game platform. A series s is around $200 and still has good graphics.

@@The-Vay-AADS I’m getting better at knowing the map, but I’m still having to stop and check it to make sure I don’t miss a turn. Honestly the hardest part is not getting from town to town, it’s actually finding the garrisons friendly or enemy. I always have a problem finding it, I end up in the right area but it’s hard for me to actually locate bases still. Like some people know exactly where bases are, I get off track and turned around looking for them especially when they’re in the woods. And I always blow past the ones tucked into the clearings off the roads. I’m still new with less than 60 hours. I usually get frustrated and just fast travel to the next objective when I get too lost.

Logi is frustrating because trucks are way too slow, especially on an incline. I get that it's because of gravity but still the truck loses so much speed with the slightest incline even at full throttle.

@@HerezCheezthis is so true. It’s not really so much that the trucks are terribly slow, it’ just that any incline kills 110% of your momentum and speed. Same with every vehicle too. It needs to be fixed. No way that’s realistic.

I've been playing Arma since Cold War Assault. Since my initiation in this game I've become a fanboy of Bohemia.

It blew my mind when I joined still wet behind the ear's and noob is a understatement on how new I was. And a squad took me in whole heartedly, have not seen a toxic player yet. Took me in and then 15 minutes later we were 11 men strong. One of the guys acquired a walkie from the enemy team from base alaska. He could hear where they was running a supplied truck. We turned around and intercepted it. It was a 4 man Humvee and one of our teammates had a tube launcher and was able to hit and incapacitate it. They all chugged grenades as soon as the enemies got out. I mean at least 20 grenades it was so loud I had to mute the computer right quick. They went and scavenged over their bodies to make sure they were all dead while laughing. Global chat lit up congratulating them. I was just sitting there, not one grenade thrown not one shot fired noob as ever in awe land. I have never experienced that in no other game and I do not think I ever will again. The learning curve is very steep but its so much worth it. This is more than a damn game its an experience that you will get with no other game out there. I have chills running all across my arms writing this lol. This makes hell let loose look like battlefield. The way how this is so in depth, WOW. To be on a radio chat with a squad to someone coming into that frequency asking for sos because him and his team are pinned down at a base, that is so crazy to me.

Thank you guys. Regarding Conflict we need another kind of guide: People have to learn what is important to help their team winning. Some examples: do not start the game wasting precious supplies and time dressing up like Rambo only to be left behind by the vehicles. If You are the driver, please please please be on comms. If you are capturing an objective, bring some supplies for the antenna. Respawn costs supplies (more so if you have an heavy loadout), learn to fast travel with the transport request. Main base respawns don't cost any supplies. Some objectives are more important than others to capture and defend, despite being in the middle of nowhere. And most importantly, if you don't have a clue, ask.

As someone who’s put way more hours into A3 than he’s proud to admit, I gotta say this very often the arsenal and the addition of proper logistics is such an improvement, it’s not overwhelming and players can’t save anything to their loadouts that would cause a lot of problems later on, capturing enemy assets and equipment has become a proper hazard as it should have in Arma 3 which I adore.

As a vet all the way from Arma 2 this was a nice overview i didn't know about the combat ops mode I'll have to try that one. While there are still some issues with trying to play with mods it's still a blast to play lately. I guess my only gripe at the moment is that there's no flight controller support which has kept me away from the helicopters, but I had heard why it's not there so i guess i have some hope for it to be added.

My question is how do i know where to spawn in conflict? Ill spawn at MOB get a load out, however from there, noone is running transport anywhere. Ill have to walk for like 15-20 mins. Ill choose every spawn on the map and the issue persists. How do i get into the action faster?

You can see how much supply is at a point before you spawn there. Spawn where the most supply is so you can get a vehicle and travel from there.

Those are modded servers needing the necessary mods in order to play- if you want quick jump in and play you’ll want the official servers. It’s similar to dayz in that way, It can be tedious but once your set up and playing it’s well worth it

Im on xbox and when I download mods now it says storage is full. When I look at my hard drive it shows only 50% is full. I don't get it. I guess you can't download all the same stuff as pc.

dependency errors usually mean one mod or mods need another mod to work and you might be missing that mod. but the Dayz mod goes though so many updates it could of been out of date or something?

A full single-player campaign is not within the scope of Arma Reforger, but it is planned for Arma 4. However, we do plan to add more coop and SP content to Arma Reforger in the future.

Was going to ask the exact same thing… see I’ve always wanted an arma game for its mods such as Life or wasteland etc… I have seen that this is out on my PS store and I’ve been looking at this particular one and it does really seem like hell let loose but looks like it has much better armoury

@@shottyshane-411I haven’t played this game much yet, about 7 hours. But from what I’ve played it is not. It’s more like hell let loose than it is COD or some fast action shooter I guess, but hell let loose seems to be more action packed, you walk into the battlefield and are met with explosives going off and bodies flying around you. Arma seems more slow and strategic, much like a modern battle should be. So I’d say both games’ battles are more respective toward their timelines. Honestly it feels like insurgency sandstorm and he’ll let loose had a baby. I’d recommend giving the game a try, I am still wandering around a lot not knowing what to do since it’s so complex, but it’s fun so far.

Can’t go wrong with that… thank you for giving me the info I’ve been looking for… I’d guess it’s similar to HLL in the sense fun of the game comes from the social side of which I enjoy a lot in HLL but sometimes the communication is poor and it effects the experience drastically.. I’d say arma reforge biggest selling point to me is the strategy and proximity chat/Radio chat.. looks fantastic and I can’t wait to try it I’d say you need to put in a day or 2 before you can actually work out what to do.. HLL is fantastic too and I already have it and that’s why I was wondering if arma was worth purchasing but at £23 even if I get 30 hours on it that’s worth it… I guess the similarities are the importance of communication and working together… but I do feel like HLL is less strategic then arma looks also it’s similar in the fact that the game with a lot of communication is great but a lack of communication makes the game feel a little empty

Are you sure its not a internet problem? I think Reforger has done something to mods in where once uploaded to workshop is compressed more then a arma mod has ever been resulting in the fastest download speeds for mods in arma.

It would be nice if you guys showcased some of the popular community mods of the game and popular servers that host them, such as the growing Halo mods being made by Uppercut and Watershed Division, and the already thriving Dark Gru guys with RHS/PLA mods, 75th rangers, ARMA LIFE, Vietnam? Could really help with gaining support for the this arma bridge we call reforger.

Add the ability to change movement speed with mouse wheel like mousewheeelup your are moving normally when scrolling down your movement speed decreasing and you are going slower what's will be very good mechanic to clear buildings

I’m playing since Arma 2, (A2:OA, A3), and it is more fluid experience, less wasted time waiting for transport(especially with the transport request) I don’t want to go back to Arma 3 after the Reforger, in spite of most community groups still sticks to Arma 3. With the mods i don’t notice that is a cold war era game.
