Good video, I finally figured out most of it. There’s a few problems tho, like: AI are orribile, they take minutes to process orders an they bug out ignoring most of them. Chaining orders works when it wants to and performance is completely ass. The game crashes if you have both teams with a bunch of orders so you’re stuck watching over one team forced to defend and one to attack. If you get to 90% population guess what? It crashes as soon as you start giving order or people start dying. They cannot drive, they cannot fly, they cannot use cover decently, they keep on shooting at eachother’s backs, they bug completely if they happen to swim, they cannot breach houses or they get stuck in them. Very very limited as for now, being also forced to rent a server to host a public session when all I want is to be a temporary host to play with two friends in random scenarios where we control our own AI squads and we need to work together to do stuff is very annoying. Idk, honestly I’ve given this game only praises, as soon as I started to not have enough time to play in a full server for hours and wanted some single player action or basic coop, I started to see the problems. Not counting V sync not existing on Consoles which makes performance mode hard to look at. I can’t wait for the next updated and patches tho.. there’s hope :)

I happened upon this game on the PSstore by accident while having a quick look at games for my son. I have been waiting for this since seeing Arma 3 in the alpha phase, before Day Z was created (might not be the right title but it was something that used the same engine). I never thought I’d see the day it would come to console and always thought how cool it would be to have it and yesterday, after what? 12 years or something!? I played my first game on PS5 and it was more glorious than I ever thought it would be. Fingers crossed we get the workbench and stuff too 🤞🏼 This will be the last game I purchase for a long long time. Awesome. This guide is really helpful, the community seems awesome.

Bro I feel the exact same way and my reaction was the same ! I have watched so many hours of Arma and DayZ on KZbin before it was released on console and always told myself I’d get a PC so I could experience it and now we don’t have too. I strongly believe this was somewhat of a test to see if Arma 4 would be capable of releasing on console when it’s expected release in 2027 comes, by that time I’m guessing a new console will be out as well also. I hope other game developers take notice because what I’ve seen it’s been nothing but successful. The future for console gamers is looking bright !

@ that was the experience. Convincing myself I needed a pc just to see what it’s like to play it. For a few years it was the sole objective for buying a pc 🤣”will it run Arma”. Now that dream is alive and well but on console. Patience paid off. Had a few outstanding experiences on it already. Grateful to the devs for having the patience to deal with Sony.

How do I load my scenario into an online server? I tried one but it would just stay on loading screen when I tried. I deleted the scenario thinking it had too many units or something.

So wat ur saying is, i can create my own scenarios, set up enemy positions etc, then go in and play it? I want to do a zero to hero type scenario, where u start as a civvy, with basic gear and need to explore, loot and gear up, by finding hidden loot caches and killing enemy solders, raiding bases. But make it so its solo play? Like mini campaigns? Can i do that on ps5? I know its a team game and i would like to team up. But i also like solo missions, to do my own way in my own time.

Everything you just mentioned can be possible with what’s available to select from. It’ll take some editing and creating and you would probably need to create multiple scenarios and play them out individually as there’s a limit to how much you can spawn in at any one time

One more question: Do you know how to host a game for Crossplay MP? I want to host Game Master session for cross play with friends but they keep getting error when trying to connect: "Session Error- connection failed. Kick Cause Code: group=1 'Replication', reason Connection Failure' I have made port forward on router same as one in game. No idea how to resolve. Any help is much appreciated!

I really wouldn’t be sure sorry mate, I’d just be trying to find a public game master server with no one playing and try all join the same server. You could also try renting out your own server through Nitrado

I have a PC and Xbox The PC aspect is something I love because I normally create my own mods and host my own little servers on my actual server rack For Xbox though, I only prefer to play it if I’m like far away from my house. And I love to do the games just create AI battles and play online. I would say console is something W that they thought of I enjoy talking to my console, friends and playing on PC .

Man I’ve been hurting for a gaming PC for so long it’s not funny. The mods that you can do on this game and Arma games in general are crazy. I’m extremely happy with this game mode as it is at the moment and glad I can finally get a taste of Arma action after so many years of watching on KZbin. Thanks for sharing mate !

If you are in single player and pause the session and issue out a series of orders (which is difficult for me on Xbox to use the command queue action) to all units then when you play it everything will fall into place as your own mission. I just have a hard time getting vehicles to stay on track and being able to toggle a queue of commands to a squad. Sometimes it works sometimes it won’t for me I’m trying to figure it out. I’ve looked up the settings I can’t figure it out. I can confirm you can issue multiple orders to one squad. You just have to pay attention to the command queue action which is RB + Y (hold) but for some reason it’s not triggering for me. I was messing around and eventually I got it to work 1 time and it was fuckn awesome for a solo play through.

Iam after solo play experiences as well. I want to do a lone wolf, zero to hero scenario! Where u start as a civilian, with basic gear and then need to explore and scavenge to improve ur character. Also taking gear off enemy soldiers u kill.

@@prezzeruk4054 that would fall in line on the official server combat operations : Everon in this scenario you play as the resistance fighters and there are safe houses across Everon with far too many objectives to choose from. It can have up to 6 people.

@@Syre_Mesa correct, you’ll need to rent your own server through Nitrado to be able to play with friends and your own created scenarios, you can also password the server so random people can’t join

When you saved your scenarios are you trying to load them through game master mode again and making sure there on the same map ? I don’t think you can load scenarios on anything other than game master mode even if it is on the same map

Hey mate, follow the exact steps that I did in the video. Make sure you get a spawn point down and set up whatever faction you’re playing as a playable faction which is at the start of the video. Let me know how you go

Unfortunately to do that you have to rent your own servers through places like Nitrado. You and your friends can play on a public server or somebody else’s server together but you won’t get the rights to game master

You can take control of any characters you place so yes. You can place down marksman soldiers and take control of them if you hold down the square button a command wheel will come up and there should be an option “take control”

To play this with friends and for you to be your own game master and load scenarios you need to acquire your own server by renting one through company’s like Nitrado. Mine was automatically on fidelity and I got horrible frame rate as well as soon as I changed it to performance mode though I have perfect frame rate with an occasional drop out
