I didn't find that on Wikipedia. I got the dimensions of the actual mg turret and the Tortoise as a whole from the museum at Bovington, I then compared the relative sizes to the in game model, and found that it was 2.5 times the size. Mind you, I've seen players faced with an AFK and 'played' tank and they try and hit the AFK one (the one that won't fire back).....

The Tortoise and the T95 are amazing TDs. One has a huge punch gun while the other has great hull turning and super good fire rate.

Just got the Tortoise. This tank plays like a heavier HT, instead of traditional ambush TD. I've found that funnels on the map is where Tortoise perform best- limiting the number of guns pointing at you at a given time but keeps your damage potential high. Sniping is also great on some maps.

I haven't played the Tortoise on live- or test-server, so I can only speak from the point of view of an opponent. Unlike the T95, the Tortoise usually doesn't give me a whole lot of problems when i'm driving tier 8-9 heavies and mediums. You do have to avoid the attention of that 3400dpm gun, but it is not difficult to relocate and play peek-a-boom with a non-turreted TD - especially when you have teammates to distract him. It has poor mobility, so over-committing to an advance is easily the end of that tank. The most important factor, however, is the fact that there are VERY FEW good Tortoise drivers around (on the NA server). Watching this video has definitely taught me to pay a little more respect to this TD.

i played the tortoise for quite a while now and i absolutely love it you might be slow and sluggish as hell but the gun is bags of fun and the armor can be very very troll unless you face tier10 td´s they just shoot right through you

It almost looks as if it would be a good brawler, great depression, good turret traverse, and if the tumor/MG port can be hidden, it can eat shots along with it's high HP. Add that to the high dpm gun makes it sort of versatile despite how slow it is.

I think I'm gonna pack 2 first aid kits on this baby when I get it. Small to heal loader and large to get the passive crew boost and heal him again if need be. Preventative maintenance and don't get flanked

The IS-3 wasn't afk if you look closer on the players list you can see that his name is still in a lighter color tone which means he hasn't loaded into the game yet. Possibly a crash or ISP disruption.

I enjoyed tiers 3-4, but I bought and sold the AT2 3 times and did horrible in it, despite all the videos I watched of it, including yours, QB, just don't have the feel. Half-tempted to try the Churchill GC, but hearing its even worse than even the ARL V39 I just don't know...

Really love my Tortoise, my first tier 10 was E-100 now i have 3. maus,e-100,Cent AX. and got Deathstar/183 unlocked. But because of the low speed and acceleration, your strategy and thinking about where to go is very important to but it to good use. Often you might find youserls suddenly flanked by 1 heavy and 2 meds trying to lock you down and if they get right up close to you its very hard :/

Tortoise can really give me a bad day although the fear factor isn't really there when compared woth Obj or that T95/T30 brothers. However, depending on the tank I'm in, I believe Tortoise would be a even bigger problem than those TDs due to the high DPM.

Those weakpoints on the AT TD line are insane. However you can be lucky. One time in my AT2 I found a dead ARL 44 with his turret turned completely sideways. I managed to hide my cuppola behind it and annoyed the hell out of my opponents.

I love how for the most part, from tier 5-9, it is a straight progression of tanks being slow, heavy armor, fast guns, and huge weak points

You can play the tortoise more passively as a sniper td too. Angled over a hill at range its down to luck if an enemy can get a hit on your weak points, i average about 5k potential damage received so far and survive far more often than i do in any other tank, conversely damage put out and number of kills obviously suffers as you can get left out of the action with your terrible mobility. So players who may not be confident of QB style brawling can play it more passively and still have great success.

Whats wrong with the grind? The low tiers are fantastic, AT 2 is a troll mobile, AT 7 is great once you get your head round the offset gun and AT 15 is a monster except where unlucky MM puts you against all the heavily armoured tier 9/10s. This is more than made up for by the damage output you can get when top tier or MM hands you low armoured tier 9/10s to feast on. Only bad tank in the line is the AT 8 and even it has a gun most tds at its tier would die for.

means damage per minute(for example a tank that does 300 dmg and shoots 6 times a minute will have 300×6 =1800 dpm

It's basically a ratio because for example if a tank had a 1000 alpha damage Gun but only fires 1 shot a minute ( 1x 1000 = 1000dpm ) then that is nowhere near as good as the 300 alpha damage and 6 rounds a minute ( 6 x 300 = 1800 dpm )

TheFlyingPineapple lol you should care because tank inspector calculates effective armor when armor is sloped. It also has a gun fire test so you can fire your cannon at angel at the tank outside of the game, so you can learn exactly where and how to shoot it and how some paper weakspots wont work at the angel your at and why.
