I was interested in the “continuous sweep” mechanism you specifically mentioned in the video but the website is not easily navigated to arrive at this part. I even used the search bar function to no avail. I suspect what I’m looking for is in the site but it would make things SO much easier if you organized and labeled the website pages with keywords like “Silent Clock Parts” or “Continuous Sweep Silent something” in addition to whatever the real technical terms are so the consumer can navigate quickly.

Are the high torque silent sweep really silent? I got a big clock that said it was silent sweep but when I put a battery in it it ticked and wasn’t continuous at all. So it is possible to get a truly silent continuous high torque motor?

The difference and to distinguish between a regular conventional tick, tick motor shaft and a silent sweep type is that the 'silent sweep' type mechanism shafts has an extra gear (most usually have the transparent silicone fragile flexible gear) right after the main spinning smallest motor gear that has the round magnet underneath and despite the presence of the extra gear, the motor gear spins continuously and faster compared with the spin -and -stop two position spinning type motor.

Soory, but I try to find clock mehanizm WITH sound, now all mehanism without tickign. I love ticking, can you suggest mehanism with silent but good ticking sound?

ticking is bad but sweeping sound makes me crazy, constant whine of gears... it goes higher when second hand is going down instead of working against gravity... we don't need second hand in wall clocks. why can't there be a movement with just minute, hour hands and that would mean no sound whatsoever.

the ticking doesn't come from the hand but from the relay that needs to set every second

The prompter is too far from the camera to look natural, I would place it closer to the camera and take glances if you need. Otherwise, great video!
