In this video, I show you one simple thing you can do right now to make your guitar solos sound better. Volume control isn't just about your nobs it's about how hard you pick each note. Picking softly makes you sound better and gives you a much smoother tone. I say, let your amp do the work! Turn your amp up very loud one day which will force you to play softer and I bet you will notice a difference in how much nicer it sounds!
Let me know if you have any comments or things to add! Thank you!

HAHA!! I realized many, many years ago that playing softly was a distinct advantage. It's amazing that so many players have never come to this realization. Great point, Rich!

Great point, Rich. It gives you far more control. A lot of ppl don't know that both Hendrix and Clapton understood this point and played with a light touch, for the most part, in their rock heyday. Of course, multiple Marshall stacks tended to hide that fact. :)

Hi Rich great post! Great tip on how to soften/smoothen it up! BTW that pick sounds so good! If you do not mind my asking, what is your pick choice and gauge/size?

I believe it was made for the NAMM 2002 show. If the right offer came around I suppose I'd sell it.
