An enchanting journey across the magical landscapes of Burgundy seen through the eyes of a connoisseur of unspoilt beauty. Truly captivating and mesmerizing. Joining you on your walks across the French countryside stopping at scenic places feels like being there in person enjoying the fresh air, the wind and rain. Eventually longing to be snug by the fire having a white coffee. You do know how to capture a moment in time and to edit it in such a captivating way that the viewer feels drawn into the scenery. 🥇😍

A daily walk in the french countryside and then a delicious coffee by the fire! Perfection! I was wondering if you dont need screens for insects in the windows of your homes. We sure do here in Canada, but I remember Opa and Oma in Holland didn't have any either. I guess insects aren't an issue there. The tiny cabin is very inviting! Hopefully one day. 😃👋
@FrenchCountryLife Жыл бұрын
Hi Glenda, we DO need screens! We had them in The Netherlands and we have them here in our bedroom. The window at the end of the bed in the cabin (behind the chairs on the porch) is completely screened. We don't have as many bugs as in some places I've been to but we sure do have them and with a screened window you can leave the windows open all night and day. But it's more of a Dutch thing. It doesn't seem to be something many of my French friends do and in many French airbnbs I've been to there aren't any screens...

Beautiful video. Those cookies look amazing, may I ask what recipe you used?
@FrenchCountryLife Жыл бұрын
A very basic one. Just 150g butter, 160g sugar (I use coconut sugar), 230g flour (I use wholemeal spelt), 1/2 tsp baking soda, pinch of salt, 2 tsp vanilla, 1 egg, 50g toasted hazelnuts, 200g chocolate chips. Chill the dough for about 30 minutes before making scoops and I baked them for about 20 minutes at 170/180 Celsius. My husband can't eat wheat and we try to find better alternatives for normal sugar. These aren't healthy but for my family they're a better option :) The recipe will be in my cookbook that's coming out later this year.

@@FrenchCountryLife I have a gluten intolerance and diabetes so this is right up my alley. I’ll be looking forward to purchasing your cookbook and hopefully I will be able to get it shipped to the U.S. Thank you so much for the recipe.

Bonjour! Do you know, I recently purchased an artisanal ceramic vase as a gift, and it was shipped to me completely without bubble wrap! The artisan trusted in a kind of shredded and pleated paper that worked perfectly. I wish I knew the source of this compostable resource so I could tell you!
@FrenchCountryLife Жыл бұрын
Thanks for sharing that! Yes I know those! You need quite a bit to ship safely. I only use wrapping materials that I get from items I order for myself. I had this green bubble plastic left over from when I prepared my plants for winter. But everything else is reused from what I get sent myself. Such a shame to be throwing everything away and then having to buy something new for when I ship.
@ginacrusco234 Жыл бұрын

@FrenchCountryLife Жыл бұрын
local yes! it’s quite a search and getting more difficult to find and more expensive. Around 50 - 60€ depending on where you get it and rising.
@pwilliams6405 Жыл бұрын
@@FrenchCountryLife It's about the same here in Victoria Australia $100-130 aud a cubic metre for mixed and about $180-200 for red gum which burns longer. I wanted a heads up, if timber can be delivered and for what price,so I can be prepared for when I finally establish myself in my new home in a quiet village. I will be making the move around March/April 2024 and I cannot wait !!!! Really appreciate you replying back with those prices and options kind regards Paul

Haha!
