Exactly what I was looking for. Came here from You Tube, thanks for the models. I had already toyed with the idea of designing something myself, but this is even better. Boosted on Makerworld, you deserved it.

Your version of the 60mm mount is great! 11/10 for designing for ease of printing compared to OG.

Also put some foam and a tile underneath, "CNC kitchen" has a video about it. It helps so so much with sound. I did it myself a week ago and now I barely notice my p1s in the same room

I was going to actually print the hula feet. to isolate the machien abit from the table! but maybe i have to compare with a slab and foam. i think i have some slabs of brick for my pizza oven lying aroudn and some foam. I appreciate the comment!
@Kart0nasАй бұрын
@NuggetsInclusive the slab does perform better than those feet, there's a table with comparisons in his video. Let me know your experience if you do it!

Is your soldering iron wireless but charging, or does it just use USB-C? Either way, what brand and such and how do you like it? Does it seem to heat up and go to the right temps well? Also half way through the vid and it seems great, good job!
@EnilnoVortex8 күн бұрын
that is a pinecil soldering iron with the transparent shell replacement i belive its the Pinecil V2 its not wireless and has to be powered through usb (pulls around 3A) or a barrel jack i used it once at a friends place and its a great little soldering iron, but i would only buy it if i really need a portable one, soldering stations are priced around the same like for example a Preciva 939 D+
@Bowsmin128 күн бұрын
@@EnilnoVortex Do you have experience with the Preciva station? Also do you know if they got bought out or rebranded or something? I tried looking it up and a few options from Yihua and it has the same model number and designation, but not the brand you mentioned. Do you happen to know if they are the same? Anyway, how do you like it if you do have experience with it. I was gifted a different affordable solder station and I have had some difficulties with it.

@@Bowsmin12 Its a great station, i got it from amazon for under 60€ and i am using it sience 2.5 years (if this answer is comming to you 3 times, sorry :D) never had any issues with it. comes with some accesories and extra tips and heats up to 400C in under a minute. I was still able to find it by just typing in "Preciva 939D+" the full product name is "Preciva 939D+ III"

@@Bowsmin12 I've been using it for 2.5 years, and it's been great! Heats up to 400°C in under a minute, comes with accessories, and has been super reliable. Got it for under €60 on Amazon.

the Yihua 939D+ is not the same station, but the Preciva one is still available on amazon

Nice job! I saw someone do a similar modification on a Flashforge 5M, but they removed and replaced the back panel with a 4 (maybe 5?) piece replacement which they printed out to accommodate the new fan position. I think they might've added a raised lip to the fan shroud for the ability to attach duct work in case they wanted to vent it outside.
@NuggetsInclusiveАй бұрын
I appreciate it! I think it would be pretty easy to attach a duct. But i don't have the window close to my printer to test that :)

I was just thinking about this, and then your video came out. Well done and entertaining too! One thing that happened to my P1S, I got it and perhaps 3 days in it told me to adjust the XY belt tension. I did not do it at first as print quality was still great and the description on the Bambu Lab website seemed weird, just to losen the bolts, move the print head, clean the rods, then re-tighten the tensioners did not seem to involve... any actual tensioning? Anyhow, some days later I did it and the error was fixed, the print quality was the same, but: My printer got quite a bit quieter, and the travel of the print head is now way less loud. So I'd actually recommend to do that, if the travel of the print head causes your noise. Let me know if that brought some improvement.

The chamber fan is mostly for keeping the temperature of the chamber low. You could just get away with the keeping the fan off and removing the top glass or opening the door. Alternatively, you can print a top glass mount that allows you to slide open for venting. But there are downsides like slightly increased motor noise and smell. But great video though. Will consider trying out the design when I need it.
@Those_WeirdosАй бұрын
You want to quiet it down, and you get Noctua's most hardcore fan. Heh.

New fans spin slower, which leads to most of the noise reduction. Turning the stock fans down gets you most of the way there (for free).
@NuggetsInclusiveАй бұрын
you might be right i should have tested that a bit better!

I'm not 100% sure but you could overvolt your 120mm ippc 12 V to probably 18V 15V since you've got buck converter, and it perhaps could do around 4000rpm but that would require obviously prior testing. I've seen 12v noctua fans ran up to like 28V, and they've got overcurrent protection before they fail dead. with IPPC it could go both ways. it could be really good for OV or it could lock itself at 12V...

Very cool video! One question though: would it be possible to just replace the fan blade assembly and still see better noise results? You wiring job looks great and was obviously a tonne of work, but maybe it's possible to swap just 1 part instead of all of the stuff you needed to do for the board fan?
@AlainMazyАй бұрын
i make this on my printer
@OneIdeaTooManyАй бұрын
I chose a quieter 3D printer over print speed and then i put a larger nozzle on it since i don't need to print fine details. I just print at 0.4mm layer heights to get print times down. Most of the annoying noises i hear are from everything else other than the fan.
