71 here too. But I was too busy by 21. I wish I had his videos at age 11! My cousins were always making stuff or breaking stuff--they sold us a surfboard once that they had broken and fixed. But they forgot to turn the front up. So you'd catch a wave, get to your feet, and it would nosedive straight down, plant your face in the gritty sand of Zuma Beach. Sooo fast! The finally confessed. We warned everyone, but they were all sure they'd be just fine, it was just us who had problems surfing...SMH Would have been fun to have made something to use camping...

Such a great role model for kids--just how to solve problems, laugh at your mistakes, try again, and think everything out. With all the technology, stores full of everything you can dream of--on-line, down the street, mail order....we forget to teach kids to problem solve, try, try, and try again, laugh over mistakes. Critical thinking, and plain old thinking, too. And I love how he lays back on his trips at the end, proud of what he accomplished, no is a show off sense but in a grateful sense, knowing he did it, he did something very cool. My ex never learned these things--we landscaped our house, painted, wall-papered, put in crown molding, chair rails, etc. But when we sat back at the end, he felt that wonderful feeling of accomplishment. He was awful to me because I felt it and was energized by it for the next project. It's pride, but not in an ugly sense, it's not feeling better than anyone else. It's a private thing you hold inside for your own self confidence and something no one can take away from you. An assurance you know what you are doing. My ex said when he looked at our accomplishments, all he felt was the exhaustion from the hard work. He felt bad from the work. I'd never heard of such a thing! It's terrible that somewhere he absorbed the idea that his efforts were not valuable. No idea where he learned such a lesson--that it was the bad king of pride to feel good about building something, making your home look great or planting flowers... He was just as mystified at how I felt so great when I thought about a project I finished like the Quiet Nerd does here. In my family we took a minute out to survey our work, compliment each other, feel that healthy sense of accomplishment! I love seeing the Nerd here teaching kids this fun lesson. It will help their self-esteem all their lives. Kids need to be taught how to understand their hard work. How to use the accomplishment to motivate themselves at another time, how to use the accomplishment to fight off the negative emotions when others pick on us, criticize, make us feel bad, ridicule, insult, all of it! We can't be certain we can change them, but we can change us, learn how to use these accomplishments forever to repair the pain of criticism, insults, demeaning comments, etc. If someone says bad things about you our what you did, you can remember what you did so very right. Let yourself feel proud of what you created now and forget what they say then. Such an important lesson today for a lot of people who feel social media's harsh criticism.

Cool project. My only critique is holy crazy amount of screws. I hope you had a sponsor for that. 2 suggestions for all camper builds. 1: put something like the tarp material on the top of the battery/electrical box lid so that when cooking in the case of a spill while cooking no water/liquid enters the electrical components. Possibly epoxy is an option? 2: install some mosquito netting on the outside of your porthole windows so bugs can't come inside but you still get a breeze.

Great build! A few ideas for you: Drop-down front support on the forward corners to keep it stable when camping/parked. Lockable Toolbox on the back for dirty stuff and in-field repair equipment. Rear mounted spare tires. Solar panels on top, big as you can get. Side lights, fold-out cover and table/chairs. Clean water tanks, with possible water pump and outdoor sink/fish cleaning area. An indoor on/off switch for the wheels to keep it from being moved with you inside. Parking brakes. Mosquito netting on the windows, door netting as well hung inside the door frame. Side or top fan vent like an RV. Insulation with a thin interior cover wall/ceiling for winter camping. Better sealant under the roof cover and in between all the boards. AC and heating if you have solar panels. Turn signals and brake lights with hazard flash settings. Low-noise fan venting of electronics area. Front brushguad/shinguards for your feet. Bug zapper, for entertainment. Small winch, in case it gets stuck. Portable induction heating plate and cooking pan. Spill protection above the electronics. Good luck out there!

I would definitely consider installing some kind of switch on the inside of the camper to shut off the motors, it would be terrifying to be asleep in the camper and someone starts driving it away with you inside. Mosquito netting, Solar Panels, foot rests for when you're driving, an awning and fold out table bolted to the side of the camper the door is on so you could choose to eat outside, maybe a little wind sock just to know what way the wind is blowing. Very cool project regardless.

I'm giving suggestions for improving this camper build. 1. Add netting on the windows to keep insects out. 2. Add solar panels like the previous build, it's very cool. 3. Maybe if you want, on the front add a small screen or use a projector to entertain you. 4. The right wall when you eat feels empty, maybe you can stick some photos from this channel trip. 5. At night the door is almost invisible, add glow in the dark stickers to make it easier for you to see. 6. The roof of the camper is very empty, maybe add some windows to see the sky when it rains or the stars at night. 7. Maybe the table should have a tablecloth to keep it from getting dirty. 8. I don't know how hot it is during the day but it is very comfortable if you provide air conditioning. I'm very supportive and looking forward to the next video. It's been a few months since you've been uploading. Hope you guys enjoy and like the videos. Cheers.

NEVER judge a book by its cover. Man this guy leaves me in his wake. Plus this camper has cost him a fortune. I was keeping a tally but ran out of paper. Incredible, bloody incredible. I take my hat off to you sir.👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻😂👍🏻🤣🤣🤣🤣👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺

I love it! A giant adult "erector-set"! Seriously though, i appreciate that even though you obviously have a wealth of knowledge along with welding equipment, you use mostly stuff you can find at the Home Depot and a few simple tools. I know you could build something similar at a fraction of the weight but you showed a very simplified version so everyone can learn. Excellent work sir!

I can't believe you built another one! And the video is an 1.5 hrs long? You're a dream, KZbinr!

I think the overall aesthetic of the vehicle was vastly improved by your final front-end design, it's much better proportioned now. Looks awesome! Hope you can source a better front tire for it, maybe something with a heavier tread too.

Hilarious build. Absurdly over-engineered at times, sketchy and structurally questionable at other times. I had a lot of fun watching it!

You should look into making composite materials, like take a sheet of aluminum, glue foam board to it for insulation, and then glue like some nice maple plywood to the foam. That can be your walls, floor and ceiling, and then you attach them together using aluminum angle, some construction sealant and rivets. You can even affix some windows and doors into the laminate panels, and then vinyl wrap the entire thing. It'd be super lightweight, and you could put some solar panels on top of it and have a genuinely nice electric camper that's super efficient.
