Perfect, thanks. If you remake this, it might be worth showing what to do if the two white plastic pieces of your hinge have come apart. That happened to me. I had a white piece of plastic with a square hole and one with a round hole - which are combined in your video, but it took me a while to see the tiny holes inside the square piece because they're so small. Once I'd fitted them back together the rest was easy with your video.

I had your same problem and you need to be extremely careful with the hinge because it's probably one of the most fragile piece of a keyboard (trust me, I had the same problem a few years ago and I accidentally broke it). By the way, you need to find a position where you're able to place those little things at the same time (I don't know how to explain it properly) and know that it's going to take you some minutes.

Thank you so much for this video. I bought a new keyboard to replace my grandson's because so many keys were worn or coming off. But I quickly realized that would be too much to try. Then I found this video and took the keys from the new keyboard and replaced the ones on the laptop and it looks like new.

I did it w/without a screwdriver! It worked lol, now the key works perfectly fine! For the ppl who wants to know how to fix key taking long to get up: Just remove the following key (the one that u want lol) then re-put it. Simple as that lol :)

The shift key on my Nitro 5 stopped working properly due to sprint slice cancelling too many times lol. Not sure if I can find these keys, will have to replace the entire keyboard perhaps.

I think these laptop keys are just built terribly and break when you pry them off with too much force. The same thing happened with one of my keys. It has more white on its underside than the others that can be put back on fine

i'd been struggling with unfortunately separated white inner pieces (protip: when a very young relative wants to help clean, put your laptop away BEFORE letting them use the handheld vacuum) until the advice of keeping the flattest side facing me in this video, along with the general clear orientation of the pieces. i was able to move the pieces around until they lay together almost completely flat, then easily snapped the tiny little side nobs into the tiny side holes to secure them in place. then it was super easy to slot them into my board and put my ; key back into use.

I did all this, but my key cap keeps popping off. I get it into position, press down, and it feels like it'll stay... then pops off again. Any ideas what I did wrong? The hinge part is staying secure, it's only the black key cap itself refusing to stay on.
