hello +Quikr , Its really a genuine review. I am also a Himalayan Bs3 owner. "The ride quality is best in the class but the component quality is worst than anything." Plus this bike is death threatening, as you don't know when the bike will stop and when not. Plus Royal Enfield is not really worried about the Bs3 customers.

Himalayn's headlight do not move with the handle... so how much does it affect when riding in the night on highways or on tours? Appreciate your help....
@sanjaymenon4715 жыл бұрын
It wouldn't affect the riding in highways but if you wish to do some twisties during night, it might be a problem. The best solution is to mount a pair of aux lights on the front forks so that it would move along with the handle

New model bike with teething problems, not unusual for even preminum brands. Changes and improvements have been made by RE to this model. What a rider wants to meet his expectations don't always match the price they are willing to pay. I don't think it is fair to expect a bike that is half the price to be as good in any measurable terms. My opinion is that this bike does a great job for what you pay for it. BMW, Harley, Triumph, Honda, etc all have a lot of recalls especially on first year models.

So basically the stuff put together in Britain is good, let down by a soso engine from India. He's absolutely right it needs a stronger motor for wider sales appeal, and even more than that it needs a back up kickstart ignition for wilderness trips, where the power is secondary. Worst of both worlds. I'd prefer 1980s japanese aircooled trail bikes. They are more fixable out in the hills. I think RE missed an open goal with this bike. Sack the idiots.
@GrazUralKamaz6 жыл бұрын
Jeremy Atkinson kinda true... The design aspect (harris performance) is excellent but Quality Control has never been a RE forte
@dotcombubbles5 жыл бұрын
If you seek reliability go Honda. And despite its namesake, Himalayan is more of a road/touring model. Its only trail cred is by the dint of its relatively smaller CC. But that’s where it ends really. You will have to be a RE fanboy to get a Himalayan and keep it. I will admit I am one.

In normal traffic heat temperature goes up to 48 ℃..which is absolutely unbearable and gives the feeling that your leg's inner side near knees is burning severely.. Showroom guy suggested me to install plane plates near engine to avoid heat reaching your leg's but I don't think it will work. As per off roading is considered there is no match for this bike in indian market. REMEMBER : HEATING IN HIMALAYAN IS SEVERE AND IT CAN MAKE YOUR RIDE IN CITY TRAFFIC A HELL...
@sanjaymenon4716 жыл бұрын
Akashdeep Bohra I am using Motul 300V fully synthetic oil. It can reduce the heating considerably. But still the heat come upto 42-43 during city usage

I had this bike on my shortlist mostly due to Bill Cairns’ videos but after watching this I will get something else. The biggest problem it's got an engine size of 411cc which takes it into the next road tax bracket in the UK. 2018 prices. 150cc to 400cc = £42.00 road tax. 401cc to 600cc = £64.00 road tax. so you will be paying an extra £22.00 a year for that extra 11cc. not worth it in my books specially with the puny horsepower it has. it's a nonstarter it is that simple.
