had mine for a year too. still goes like how it went the first time. my tires are about to be replaced though. i've been riding it quite hard......always. it puts most 150 cc's to shame for the price, power, handling and fuel economy. and for those who think my comment or this video is biased, you haven't tried a gixxer much less kick it's ass.

it's a reliable bike buddy. just make sure you maintain it. any bike you neglect will not love you back.

I hardly take care of my bike other than giving it for a timely service. The Gixxer is running solid for more than last 2 years. I just had to change the rear sprocket once that too because of my negligence.

all issues have been resolved in dual tone gixxers , i own one and gear shifts are smooth!!

One would expect improvements such as the suspension issue over speed bumps or clunky shifting or any engine stress present at high revs, BUT was anything changed over 1st year batch other than the colors Arjun? Please don't use motul mineral oil provided by Suzuki service center. It will not do justice to your bike performance. Please use motul 300v 10w40 fully synthetic engine oil with Easter core patented technology which is made in France and mostly used in high end bikes. It will make your bike hard gear shift smooth, reduce vibration at triple digit speed, make your engine cool and stress free on low high traffic city speed and improve your bike mileage in a big way. In short it will depend upon your riding skills. Don't forget to tighten your bike chain and apply bike chain spray after every three weeks.

Nice review/ad! Hello all, I am looking forward to buying this motorcycle, but is there anything new about the 2017 version other than the colors in the naked version? Gixxer is better than Hornet in terms of performance. Hornet pickup is not that good and it vibrates on high speeds. Hornet has better styling and fatter rear tyre. Thats my personal observation/feedback. I use shell 10w40 semi synthetic oil since second service and shell normal petrol whenever possible. I feel the bike run smoother on shell oil and petrol.

My Gixxer mileage is 40km/l (speed 40 to 55). When I drives in sporty way it's give me 25km/l (speed 65 to 80 or next last limit). why It's too difference between my bike to other bike? I drive my bike 0 to 2200km in 35 to 40km/h. Now I drive my bike 40 to 55 km/h still give me 40km/h. I also want to drive my bike on sporty way but I can't because it's give 25km/l mileage. As per my experience my gixxer gives me minimum 44-46 on highways even if i ride continuously at around 90-100. The minimum i got so far was 38kmpl with a pillion.

i have a some points of gixxer. pros (1) the mileage of gixxer is 50 to 53 running between (40 to 80kmph speed) (2) service charges of this bike when is free (Rs582) engine oil (Rs390), filter( Rs42 )or chain cleaner 150 add 300 Rs extra when your free service over. (3) engine like a very smooth not vibration when you riding between 80 to 110. kmph (4)performance is very good, ergonomics is very well. pickup is so good. (cons) according to me there is only one cons is Rear drum break.

Rishi Uppal TBH, i found the headlights more than sufficient for night riding, but still that shouldn't be a problem even if you need to change them , you can get projector headlights Under 1k, bike is the best with zero cons, brakes front (bybre) and rear wooo hoo (nissin). Comfortable, good mileage, and looks like mini GSXR :) Go for it.
