Hey bro does your friend notice that loud rattling sound on cold starts and even more on reverse? It stops as soon as you start driving after like 5 sec but it sounds UGLY. wondering what it can be. I can kind of hear it in this video on the cold starts.

Yeah it really needed to be woken up. It has a jb4 tuner and airlift suspension

It's my friends, yes it's lower. He's on air lift suspension. There's more videos of his car on the channel

Sounds great .. I’m actually switching from years of 3 different generations of the Honda Civic si into the new gli Black exterior not sure if I’m doing autobahn or 35th. But I love the way this sounds it’s perfect to me not to loud yet throaty nice sound ... I’m running ktuner tsp stage one on my 10th gen si currently.. when I get the gli I’m doing this mod and then looking into Cobb/ or jb4 I’m new to vw performance parts so I’m learning so far I’ve heard Cobb and jb4 are the best to go with. Great video and content I love the car if anyone has any suggestions on them what performance parts to go with Please Feel free to leave a comment and help me out

Is the down pipe illegal? Looking to get a gli soon and this would just be totally badass. But tornado red gli with a down pipe just screams “pull me over”

I'm sure it depends on what state you're in. Here in NY you won't get fined for it but it's throwing a cel so the car won't pass inspection with the light on

Its the way it should have sounded stock. To be honest I didn't like those plates when they first came out either but they grew on me. They actually changed them again recently and are white now

It’s still quieter than a stock MK7 GTI. I’m assuming the GLI and GTI have different stock exhaust systems. Can anyone confirm?

Can confirm - I have a buddy with a MK7.5 GTI and I have a 2019 GLI. We both took off our catback systems (running open stock downpipes) and they were the same volume on our decibel meter. With the systems on, my car is WAY quieter than his GTI. Hope this helps.
