Thank you..thank you..thank you, Rex! I'm really looking forward to playing around with this and, based on the video here, this looks like something I'll be using for a long time to come..really handy little gem for use in ambient music.

Terrific, Rex. The randomization + slew approach is brilliant. Would you consider adding one more knob in addition to the "N" knob, to adjust how how much higher-order harmonic levels roll off with increasing harmonic number (i.e. a fixed scaling curve applied in addition to the AMT settings)? The "1/N" button is nice, until randomized amounts override it.

Thank you Shane! There was actually more I could have added but I wanted it to be as easy to use as possible without controls that didn’t do much. The 1/n switch was meant for anyone who wanted to use it as a regular additive synth to set a common start condition, rather than randomised. But you can adapt the schematic to your own needs of course!

Which vst did you use to make the visual effects for this video?
@rexbasterfield53323 жыл бұрын
The intro was made in NCH Videopad and the outro in VSDC video editor using the amazing visualisation function to add video to a sound track.
