Very good and intuitive emulation with descriptive presets and even some stuff from Moog's Subharmonicon! It can make all the sounds you hear on Oskar Sala's albums and has capabilities beyond the original hardware. Can't believe this is free! Thank you!

You seem familiar. Did you by buy an Emu Morpheus synth, via Sound on Sound, a few years back? Also, great channel mate. You've done some really cool stuff with Flowstone/Synthmaker. Will definitely use a few of these.

I've been extremely impressed by what can be achieved with this plugin, however in Reaper (5.99) it doesn't look that the slider - either pitch or volume - give any MIDI output or can be automated. Which is very regretful.

Yes, I checked this and the dual function slider isn’t configured for this unfortunately. I have a dual function slider in my SIM-AUTOHARP which records movement and can be automated. I’ve made a note to update the TROUT so you can fully automate it. It won’t be MIDI for technical reasons (and DAW compatibility) but I agree it should be a feature. Thanks for the feedback!

@@rexbasterfield5332 Hmm, Reaper, for instance, allows to automate pitch-shifting (even beyond the set wheel limits), as well as volume and/or expression, and if I remember it right, those are basic MIDI events. Can't there be a way to route Slider's movements routed to those parameters? Thanks a lot for your plugin, anyway.
@rexbasterfield5332 Жыл бұрын
@@black-sidedsun9219 The slider currently can’t receive regular automation from anywhere, nor can it create any MIDI. When I was testing my Autoharp mouse control for automation I found that Reaper could record the slider as MIDI but other DAWs I tested didn’t, so I abandoned the MIDI idea. The slider is a dual continuous controller so technically I could provide 2 CC numbers, but that’s not very convenient for playing and goes against the design philosophy of the simulation. What I aim to do is make the dual slider recordable so you can edit and automate it. I learn as I go and this lack of automation was down to my inexperience at the time.

@@rexbasterfield5332 Just a quick question: do I get it right that the neon tube oscillators essentially produced a (noised?) Saw-ish wave with a rounded slope?
@rexbasterfield5332 Жыл бұрын
@@black-sidedsun9219 Yes that's correct. They were "relaxation" oscillators. A capacitor builds a charge and when the neon "fires" the capacitor is quickly discharged.
