This is one of my favorite party games! My friends and I play it every once in a while if we can get a long enough stretch of time at late-night gatherings

one of the big things to keep in mind with the laws. You get 3 laws per season, and there are typically just 3 events. In that situation where all you had was the Unity law and it was the last event, there was no reason NOT to use it. There is no penalty if it doesnt work so you should just use it. Same thing goes for the Authority one.

46:45 The party game mode is sometimes even more fun because you get to roleplay strategizing and slander IRL

'The King In Yellow' is a book of short stories, written by Robert W. Chambers (the name actually refers to a fictional play that appears in 3 of the stories in some form). H.P. Lovecraft referred to it as "The scariest book I have ever read". Later authors acted as if Lovecraft himself invented 'The King In Yellow' and his kingdom 'Carcosa' (a name that Chambers himself took from an earlier story) and conflated "The King In Yellow" with "Hastur" (a name Lovecraft took from yet another poem). Today most people assume "Hastur, The King In Yellow, who rules over Carcosa" was Lovecraft's original invention because he has appeared in so many books about the Cthulhu Mythos.
